This field notes cover is perfect. No zipper to irritate your hand when trying to write, and the leather is nice without being flashy, and best of all, no ridiculous logo or branding. It’s very simple, but nice. The only feedback is I wish the pen loop was slid down just a bit to not interfere with most pen clips. I liked it so much I bought a few as gifts.

This is a great cover using 3.5 x 5" notebooks.The smell is very pleasant and the quality is very goodwith well done stitching.It could easily fit 2 notebooks without being bulky.

I carry two Field Notes notebooks in this. It's really perfect for protecting them for EDC.I spent the $12 on this, and it convinced me to buy a more expensive one that holds my credit cards and ID.

I use this as a wallet to carry a Field Notes size notebook along with ID, some credit cards, and a small pencil. It serves its purpose of protecting the notebook. As I use it as a wallet, it also serves the purpose of keeping me from leaving my notebook in my pocket when my trousers go in the wash.The leather is soft and supple. The quality is fantastic for the price. Over a month of use, it has held up as expected and I can see it lasting a long time.EDIT 4/4/25: One year in with daily use, this is still in great condition. I cleaned it once with a leather soap and applied a leather conditioner to keep the cover supple. I also added an elastic string around the spine of both the cover and my notebook to act as a kind of bookmark. The knot in the string goes in the page I'm currently using. I just used a piece of elastic from my daughter's bracelet-making supplies.

I bought this to cover my Lockby mini notebook. It'll cover a variety of Field notes sized notebooks. IT's feels great in my back pocket and I love the leather smell to it. It also comes with a small pocket on the inside to hold a card or something of that size. Wonderful to help protect a small notepad.

I use this with a Moleskine Cahiers journal and a Pilot Birdy pen for taking notes and jotting down ideas on the go. It works for that purpose, but I've found the card slot isn't useful and adds necessary thickness. I'd rather it had a small loop to hold a small pen on the inside along the spine.

I’ve used Field Notes for decades. Old school: handwriting: cursive. Wish I’d seen this cover long ago. Not a 2nd wallet, but could be. Good leather, good stitching. Glad to have it.

This is my back pocket notebook, I carry a field notes book and a pen in it. That's all I ask of it and it does that flawlessly. The leather is sturdy and it feels like it will last a lifetime.
