Great romantic story with many joys and sorrows and tragedies especially on the ship. Excellent characters. Lots of twists and turns.

Story starts in Jamaica and ends in England. Amelia manages her sugar plantation while her husband she's never met is sailing for India. Amelia's father is greedy and finds his plans thwarted. The plot is predictable but characters are engaging. Solid read for those who enjoy historical fiction of this time period. 4.5 out of 5 stars.

I absolutely love this book! If you're looking for something simply sweet and clean, you should read it. It was very lovely. I'm definitely reading more books by this author.

The story and its main characters are quite enjoyable.
