It's exactly as described. You'd think it wouldn't be worth the price, but it is. Was the only item I ordered and I was worried that it would get delivered damaged but it didnt. I use it when I cleanse my apartment with sage or Palo sticks. It's definitely the best feather to use and it's easy to use, moves the smoke swiftky. It's nice and thick, not brendle at all. Definitely worth the money, I'd buy it again. Also has NO SMELL! Which is great considering it being a real turkey feather.

Thank you for the speed with which this flew to us for my sons last minute school project. He needed an old fashioned quill for his display. This feather is beautiful and durable. He used it to demonstrate ink and it was just right for the project. Looked good, was strong enough, and a great purchase for the money.

Really nice size and beautiful colors although not the same as pictured. Not too happy about the fact that it isnt the same as pictured and that the ends are frayed.

I'm not sure who is the authority on such things, or how you grade a turkey feather. Calling something Grade A doesn't tend to mean much when there's no available written standard that's been accepted and adopted by a reputable organization-- it's only a marketing tactic as far as I can tell. I do know that the feather we received is indeed a feather. It looks similar to the picture on the product page, but it is clumpy in a few places and not what you would call "pristine." If I were to make up an arbitrary grading system for turkey feathers, I would call it a "C."Update: After a brief google search there is indeed a feather grading system, but it only applies to collecting rare feathers through a website . A number scale of 1 to 4 (and 4M) appears to apply. So Grade A seems to be confirmed as a marketing tactic only. Keep this in mind. There is no such thing as a "Grade Anything" for turkey feathers.

This product is absolutely perfect for oiling the bore of an oboe. Perfect length, width, sturdy, andthe spines of the feather did not separate to a degree suffient to come though the tone holes and threaten the pads.With a few twirls the bore was evenly coated with a thin layer of bore oil (absorbed overnight-the oboe was thirsty).For once, a DIY YouTube video that makes the project look easy actually made the project easy, something of a rarity for me.No shedding from the feather, and stored in a zip lock bag (included), it looks as if though it will last a very long time.

Beautiful but had a lil piece missing but still great thats why 4*
