A god send
This clock is an absolute god send for our 4 year old. We were having issues with early wake ups but since getting this she has learnt instantly that if the moon is showing then its still bed time. It is very simple to set up, the dimmable light is great, the battery is long lasting. The child lock is fantastic. She's already learning how to tell the time and no longer wakes up at unholy hours.Things to note: There is no alarm sounds and the clock is only 12 hours.

Cute little clock
This is a very simple device, helping to easily identify whether it is time to stay in bed, or time to get up. It is advertised as a sleep trainer for young children, however I bought this for my autistic fiancee. She often woke up in the night and needed something that would very quickly inform her how close it was to her alarm going off in the morning. She suggested this type of clock, which I thought was a great idea.It works as a regular clock, complete with a digital readout of the time, and alarm. However what makes this different, is that during daytime hours the clock face emits a yellow light, and night time it is a blue light. It is also programmable so you can customise the times when the colours change. For young children who are learning to tell the time, the colours are a straightforward way of knowing whether it's safe to venture from the comfort of their bed, or that it's time to get out and start pestering mum and dad!My fiancee likes it as she doesn't have to wake up too much to check the time if she wakes in the night and needs to know how close it is to her alarm going off.- It is rechargeable via a USB lead - charging times are reasonable and it easily lasts a couple of weeks on a full charge.- Programming it is very simple, using large buttons on the back. The instruction leaflet easily explains the set-up, but the icons on the clock face make this process even easier.- The build quality is decent - it's a robust little device that should stand up to being dropped, or mistakenly knocked off the bedside table.- The glow of the light can be adjusted up or down. It is worth noting that the brightest setting is very bright indeed, so do bear this in mind.Overall an excellent product and I recommend it. Great delivery by Amazon Prime, as always.

Brilliant for 3 year old
We've had this for a while now and it works a treat most of the time. We found our 3 year old son was waking up at 4 or 5 in the morning but didn't understand it was too early so it's much easier to explain day and night with 2 colours. Since having it he no longer comes in to our bedroom in the early hours of the morning because he can see that the clock is still blue (night). It's easy to set up as well and it also has a memory function which I found useful as we can turn it off in the day to save the battery and it automatically turns back on at 7pm when it's set to change back to blue for bedtime.

Brilliant functionality
This is expensive compared to many wake up clocks but we have no regrets. The binary yellow-blue colour change is easy for our 3yo to understand. Just to clarify, it has no alarm tone and makes no noises whatsoever. It has a rechargable battery. We have it on the lowest brightness setting and it lasts for weeks on one charge. I love the brightness settings because it's not glaring out into his room stopping him sleeping but it's perfectly visible in the dark. We hung it on the wall with a nail and a bit of string after it fell on the floor one time. One of my favourite things is that this clock actually, unlike many others... wait for it... functions as a clock! It has large, clear numbers that in time our boy will learn to read. Many awake clocks just have colours or tiny numbers that mean it'll quickly become useless once you move past the "can I get up?" phase. We expect to use this for many years. It is easy to program and has a child lock feature so little fingers can't mess with the settings. We programmed it for a 6.30am awake time to start with and once that was OK, we snuck it on a few minutes every few days til we got to 7am. It worked great! Our son likes the responsibility of knowing it's time to get up. We've used it in his cot for a month to get him used to the idea and we're about to move him into a bed. Very glad we got this clock.

Good idea, awful execution
The functionality it great and it does everything I wanted it to do. Really easy to use and my daughter loved it, learning when to get out of bed and when to go back to sleep. If the clock worked for more than a couple of months it would be great, but sadly it's just not well made enough. Lots of things start to go wrong with it....battery life, time changing randomly, digits disappearing etc. I took it apart and managed to get the screen working again but a few weeks later it stopped again. If they spent some proper money getting these built in a better factory it would be a product worth having, but the end product is just not worth having. It won't last long and for £30, I expect a good 1-2 years out of it.Shoddy.

We love it
So glad we bought this for my 5 year old who previously was waking up between 3:30-5am and thinking it was morning. He now checks his clock and stays in bed if it’s still blue. His body clock has now adjusted and he doesn’t get up before 6am!Good quality and easy to use

Plenty of great features but not long lasting
Pros:- Easy to use/understand for toddlers and adults- The light is dimmable so as not to be too bright at nighttime- On the dimmest setting the clock will last for easily 7 days without a chargeCons:- Sometimes getting the connection to charge (so the light on the back goes red to show it's plugged in) is a bit tricky, often it needed a bit of a wriggle.- Isn't particularly robust - we've had it just over a year (3 months outside warranty) and the screen has gone blank and it just beeps when being plugged in. It has been dropped a few times (toddlers!). Not sure I will buy another as I don't want to generate more electrical waste.
