After months of use, my 1400 ml Traumwesen bento box is still completely leakproof. Furthermore, although it wasn't made clear, it comes with a spare silicone gasket which I think will sit in the back of a drawer unneeded for a long time. I expect years of use from the product--it's well worth the price. I'm going to get the smaller size one too.

I got this to put liquid or semi-liquid foods in a bento box. Perfect, seal and snaps make for a leak proof box, something too many other boxes seems to fail to achieve.

I put this to the test. I wanted to know if it would leak. If I put some macaroni salad in here, is it going to leak out and stain my truck seat? So I performed 2 tests, but they’re testing essentially the same thing. I filled this halfway with warm water, fastened the lid, and then shook it violently for 30 seconds. The second test I put a paper towel inside and then ran it under the shower for 30 seconds. It passed both tests - no leaks! I do find that the shiny stainless steel is easy to keep clean, and it looks much better than traditional brushed stainless. The box and lid are sturdy but not too sturdy where it would be heavy. The divider works well and fits in place by spring tension. It also conforms to the contours of the bottom of the box, providing a suitable divider to keep food separated. Including the divider, this box weighs 10.2 ounces. The two spring latches seem to secure the lid tightly and are easy to use. They seem like they will stand up to years of use. My only concern is that the spot welds that secure the latches to the box. I fear that they are flexed every time that you open and close the box, and they may not hold up to years of use. But so far, everything about this box works as or better than expected.

I needed a lunchbox, and this one serves my needs really nicely. The divider was also a nice addition.

When I opened this package, I encountered something that I haven’t before. The lid was actually difficult to remove from the base. It felt like it was vacuum sealed at the factory. But, don’t worry, that difficulty was only for the first time.My typical test for these boxes is to check for leakage and this box performed better than any I have done before. There was no leakage with either hot or cold water. The gasket on this box seals extremely well. There is a divider in the middle to separate your foods, but don’t expect it to separate your soup from the rest of your meal. Although it says leakproof, if you put a very liquid item in your lunch like soup, I would still keep that box in the upright position. You just never know. But, this box was the best box I ever tested.The beauty of this is that it is stainless steel so it resists stains and is super easy to clean. Do keep in mind that this box alone will not keep your meals hot or cold. You will need to provide an insulated bag of some kind for that.If you want a really nice durable, easy to clean, and leakproof lunch box, this is for you. Just provide your own insulation.
