Actually not bad!
These are surprisingly good products! They are clearly meant to steal the appeal and visage of Barbie doll Stacie, but even so I was pleasantly impressed. If you break down the cost of this lot, it’s ~$3.60 per doll (cost per item is always worth a star to me). That’s actually really reasonable considering what you’re getting! The pictures are true to what I received. I originally didn’t read and believed I was only getting the clothes. At the price point, I figured that meant a good quality per outfit. However, since it’s dolls, too, the clothing quality is a little lower than anticipated. THEY ARE STILL DECENT.Pros:•The dolls are hollow but hard plastic, ok weight to them•The clothing is above Dollar Tree standards, closer to Barbie. None of that weird plastic “fabric” these look-alikes normally have•Each doll comes with sturdy shoes you can paint or color (all same style)•The hats have a Velcro inside, which is GENIUS if you want the hat to stay on the doll’s head•The face screenings are fine, easily fooling anyone that may think this is an actual Barbie doll that doesn’t know better (maybe that’s the point??)•Because they are an imitation, the dolls fit Stacie’s clothes, shoes and play sets!•Can hold Barbie accessories such as cups•The basic five points of articulation are here for all your child’s imaginative needs•At <4 bucks per toy, your children can have 5 new dolls with their own clothing and accessoriesCons?:•My “boy” doll has a missing letter on his jersey for “basketball”, but his sweats and undershirt are correct. A clever kid will point this out!•Though the clothes are good for what you’re paying, they are still very simple. The durability FEELS ok but depends on what you’re doing with them if they’ll last or not•My boy doll came with a hat with Velcro but he doesn’t have any hair for it to grip on to. Could be fixed with some Velcro to his head•The blonde hair is more strawberry blonde than the gold of Barbie (which you may prefer, I just like the blonde of Barbie)•There is no diversity. They are all fair skinned dolls, however, I did get a brunette girl doll. They all have blue eyes.•The quality is obviously not as high as a Stacie doll and these dolls can’t tilt the head very well like a Stacie and the arms are a bit rubbery•Not as much rooted hair but looks fine in the ponytailOverall a decent doll. I really feel that’s all you need to know. I don’t know what plastic these are made from but if you buy Barbie dolls, I’m sure these won’t be massively different. They are an affordable way to get several new, decent quality dolls in one go. Just imagine how expensive 5 new Stacie dolls would be! Even 5 Chelsea dolls will run you $35, WITHOUT accessories. These are a great alternative. If you make OOAK dolls, these are great bodies to practice on because they are sturdy enough but don’t cost very much so mistakes are more forgivable. The heads are soft enough to reroot if you so chose.I recommend, as long as the price stays under $20.
