MSI G2412 Esports Gaming Monitor 23.8 Inch Full HD (1920x1080) IPS Panel 170Hz Refresh Rate 1ms Wide Color Gamut, AMD FreeSync Premium, Anti Glare, Less Blue Light, VESA Mount Black

After researching the 1080p 165-170Hz options in India, I had a choice between benq mobiuz ex240(overpriced) which costs 16490INR, gigabyte g24f 2(ghosting issues reported) which costs 13999INR and the msi g2412 which costs 9999INR. I got the msi g2412 at 8999INR with a card discount as it seemed to be the best value for money for my use case. I have been using the monitor for about 10 days now and so far my experience with this monitor has been quite good. I calibrated the colors and the colors look way better than any other panel in this category, the contrast ratio of 1500:1 is amazing for an IPS panel and after calibration you can hit a ∆E value as low as 0.7 . I'm currently using it with the overclock turned on at 169.9Hz via display port and its working fine without any ghosting. I play cs2 and apex legends the response time is very low and I dont feel any input lag, moreover it works well with nvidia g-sync even though it's not in the nvidia's list of g-sync certified monitors(maybe cus it's new), I faced no issues. The build quality is good, it doesn't feel cheap, the bezels are very thin and adds to the aesthetics of your table. The only let down was the stand being too basic, it only has tilt adjustment but that's justified for the price its sold at.

Bought it for 10k. Decent allround monitor for normal usage. Nothing spectacular. But well above competition in the amount of features provided. Haven't used it for video editing. Feels value for money. Image looks impressive.

First few months the monitor was absolutely lovely. You do have to enable DP overclocking if you want to use 170Hz, but I figured that out soon enough. VRR was working well, colors were good, overall excellent. Just have to screw on the stand to the monitor before use. And of course the power cable was not included so I had to purchase one from a local store. You can tilt the monitor up and down a little, which is quite useful.Until a few months in, when the monitor stopped turning on. Somehow fixed itself in a couple hours, but now there are lines on top and bottom of monitor. Will be contacting MSI for the warranty and updating my review based on what happens.Update: MSI gave me a new G255F from the warranty claim, all good now!

This is my 2nd purchase of this monitor. I also have MSI G244FIt doesn't have Backlight Bleed.G-Sync/FreeSync works flawlesslyand comes with DisplayPort 1.2 cable for its DP 1.2a (AdaptiveSync) so you don't have to spend extra buck.There won't be any HDMI cable in the box so if you are buying it for 144Hz then better grab one with the order.Also if you are into colours and Freesync Premium, consider MSI G244F.

I used this monitor for 1 year, and facing issues with the display now. No proper service center in Tamil Nadu. Completely disappointing. Think before choosing this product.

Got this monitor for ₹9200. For that price it's has good display and other gaming features only Con is HDR support.

Got it at Rs 9k during Great Indian festival. It comes with 165hz however you can achieve 170hz with DP over locking. The colours look good. Dp to Dp cable and power cord is provided.
