Buy once, cry once
Excellent pegs, made of stainless steel so they'll never rust. Strong, with two eye sizes on each peg. This means you can grip big items like thick socks, or thin items like shirts. They're strong enough to hold everything, even in strong winds, without the items flying away or bunching up on the lines. These are quality items, well worth paying a bit more for pegs that will last a lifetime. They are a design classic: simple, functional, sustainable, satisfying, timeless. It's kind of tragic I like them so much ...So good I've now bought about four packs in total. Slowly replacing all other pegs as they go brittle, rust, or leave wood fragments on clothes.Nicely packaged in brown card by the manufacturers, for a zero plastic solution.More expensive than disposable garbage, but well worth supporting the manufacturer who are trying to do the right thing.

Excellent Product.
I purchased these in 2018 and decided to make a review. There are more expensive than when I purchased them which will make some check the value for money. These are giving excellent service and are good as when we first used them. Good quality stainless steel, excellent grip and extremely durable. Thoroughly recommend.

Highly recommend
Who knew you could get quality clothes pegs!! These feel like they'll last foreverr over the brittle plastic ones that seem to start to crumble apart after a little while, some may find it slightly awkward to use however as it works on the bent metal and that, may require a little force but all in it works very nicely! Not cheap of course, but environmentally a seemingly much much better option over most out there! Arrived in plastic free packing as well!

I need to get a life…
Never did I think I’d ever review clothes pegs but these things are fantastic and so much better than the plastic and wooden versions. They're a bit smaller than usual but they don’t half grip well, even on a thin retractable line, and also very easy to use. The fact they are steel and rust proof and they should last for years is awesome.

Permanent clothes peg replacements.
Excellent value . Everlasting stainless steel, none breaking, ideal for all weathers, including use in the freezer.I already had some of the these, but the old plastic ones are breaking and needed replacing. Will not be needing to purchase any more clothes pegs.

Good pegs good idea, Bad design
Not sure why nobody else seems to complain, I am male, fit in my 50s and struggle to get these pegs back off the washing sometimes, especially when the rain comes on and im trying to get the washing in, I have to use both hands to ooen the peg 1 at the top and one at the bottom to force the peg open, my fingers at the top just slip off as there is very poor purchase.Opening these fully up and your fingers start slipping.I purchased 2 packs of these pegs and sort of regret it as I got 100 of the curved meral pegs at a fraction of tye cost of these, they have curved wings at the top and are much easier to use. These pegs do grip the clothing but probably better on a thinner rope.Good pegs, could be better, could be way cheaper.Picture shows them compaired to other type

I feel like I have found the Holy Grail
These pegs are expensive, but after a lifetime of buying pegs that promise to last forever and then fall apart, break or become brittle and snap, I had to find a proper solution.I am committed to hanging up my washing outside and I am so impressed with their compact, but totally precise and effective design.I am confident that these will genuinely last forever and I feel that I have done something positive for the environment. My only grumble is that they are very expensive and this means that people will be less likely to buy them. For those of you who arewavering, I saw it in these terms: you can buy plastic pegs for a few quid but will be replacing them quite quickly. These cost about a £1 a peg but will last forever.

Now I understand.
For some time now I have been getting sick of the noise CRACK or BOING. This happens frequently with plastic or wooden pegs - they either break, shatter (really cold weather is a bugger to plastic pegs) or the spring disappears into the grass ready to smack you in the eye when you next mow the lawn. I figured there had to be a better way so, just being nosey, searched for metal pegs. I came across these and I bought a set about a year ago - none have broken, there's no spring to go BOING so I've just bought another set.I now understand why nobody stocks them in shops, they'd never sell plastic or wooden ones again - as they're a single piece, there's nothing to break! They're somewhat smaller than 'standard' size pegs but they hold onto the line really well and there's no sliding of clothing because of a loose fit - they stay where you put them. It's worth noting that they can be a touch difficult to open as they are strong steel but they will slide over the fabric on a line. They may seem pricey but I reckon they've easily paid for themselves in this last year as I've not had to buy replacements for broken ones and, don't forget, I still have all 20 - not broken, not bent, not loose, not rusty - they're as good as the day I got them.I wouldn't touch any other type of pegs again!!!October 2015 update: Now had these pegs for 3 years and, apart from a couple that have vanished during a house move, not one of these pegs look, feel or behave any differently than they did on the day I received them - really can't fault them!
