Lost water out of my ice bath…
I use it as a chiller for my ice bath. I came back one day and the chiller had pumped all the water out onto the floor. I’m not sure if it was user error or not. But the chiller works great and keeps the water cold.

Nice and quiet
This cooler works great. It has an auto shut off and start up when it is at the right temp or needs to cool down which I really like. It is really quiet when on but you can hear it so there is a little noise. The tubes that take water out and bring it in are bigger than I thought. They are about half an inch and the water coming out does have a strong current

So Far So Good
The media could not be loaded. So I purchased the 1/4 92 gallon one on a flash sale in case it couldn’t keep up with or do the trick for the cold plunger as I’ve seen multiple feedback, most say these work well for them but there are some horror story reviews, most likely fake ones from the commercial chiller companies that are $899-$2,300! I say that because I’ve been running this thing for a few weeks now (CA Area) in my garage, set up quickly (literally zero lid for the tub, zero insulation around the tub, etc, basically breaking all the rules to help it maintain temp) and it maintains temp! At first I did 44 degrees which it has no problem maintaining then I said SCREW IT and cranked it down to 36 and it did it just fine! Obviously 36 degrees sitting in a garage with zero insulation and zero insulated lid means it turns in more but it does the trick!!! Now that I’ve proven it works I have to protect my utility bill and my pocket lol and build some insulation boxing around it and a lid to ensure it has an easier time and turns on less (tons of YouTube video on how to easily do this) and make it permanent! Impressed! I’d pay the $400 now that I know and luckily I didn’t have to. I plunge at 36-38 degrees every morning without issue!Advice, install water filter if you’re gonna plunge. I make sure my feet and body are clean of debris but I am certain if I don’t filter this or make some kind of “box screen” for the submerged water pump I will at some point have something unintentionally get sucked up in tot he machine, I wanna protect this thing!WARNING! Also, please please please if you are using this for a cold plunge, please please BEFORE YOU GET IN OR TOUCH THE WATER, turn the machine off and UNPLUG AL POWER. Reason being is this is a submergible pump with a power cord going into the water. I’ve watched hundreds of YouTube videos of people just diving in, maybe it’s perfectly safe, but call me crazy being a dad of four and the main provider in my home, there is no way I want my obituary to read that I died by electrical Shock in a cold plunge at 36° because I left it plugged in and there was a short . Just friendly advice

Great Customer Service
I purchased this chiller for my 75 gallon tank. I had some initial issues with the device not cooling the water temperature and an inaccurate thermostat. After contacting customer service, they were able to help me calibrate the temperature and with their help I was able uncover the root cause of the temperature discrepancy. If your water isn't cooling properly, please be sure to check the hose at the end attached to the unit. Your target will most likely be the output hose. If this hose is bent or folded, it will diminish the unit's ability to accurately detect the temperature of the water and cool the tank.Regarding the noise level, it's isn't actually that bad. I've was able to sleep in my home office with the fish after working late. It isn't too bad.The unit itself works great for the price. As far as ease of use, it's a little tricky because it requires some trial and error with positioning the hoses so they don't bend.I ended up replacing the original pump that came with the unit because it was loud and the fish didn't like it.Overall, this was a good investment.

Got a good deal
I bought this for hydroponics. It comes with tubing and a water pump. Setup is straightforward, I added plumbers tape to the plastic inlet/outlet to limit leaks. A bit noisy when the chiller turns on but nothing wild. This model also apparently heats? I have not tried that but the manual has some instructions on heating so I guess that is available. I added some bio-sponge to the pump inlet to try and keep my reservoir clean in addition to airstones, etc. If you don't care about ph, or not for living fish you would probably be fine with adding vinegar, bleach, etc to keep reservoir clean.I shopped around for a while to try and get the best deal, found it here. Shipping on this sucker took forever, but I did get it 3rd party and had delays from the shipping company. There was a couple drops of water when I first opened it up, I have seen the same thing with other water heater/cooler and I believe it is left over from when they do quality checks, manufacture, etc. My box was still sealed so was still New as advertised.

Great cold plunge chiller
This thing works great for the price , keeps my edge tank at 44 degrees - which is pretty big (100 gallons I think).

Fast and efficient.
I have a rather specialized need for this chiller. I don't have an aquarium, but I do have a 45 gallon reservoir that I need to cool down quickly and keep it cool. For over a year, I used the chill plate and compressor from a dorm fridge. It was slow, noisy, and inefficient. It was however very cheap.I picked this up on-sale from an already discounted price. I am VERY happy I made the jump. This will drop the temp to 37°F in 3 to 5 hours depending on where I start. It holds that temp very well.Super simple to set up and operate. The included pump is sufficient but an upgrade is recommended.Maybe I'll get lucky and be able to pick up a second one soon.
