Excellent. Sturdy, reliable, with LED activity light
This 128 gigabyte drive is sturdy and reliable. I chose this brand over others because its advertisement explicitly says it has an LED activity light. That matters to me because I have suffered file corruption by making the mistake of removing thumb drives while they were active. This drive has a very prominent red light which is on when the drive is connected, flashes when files are transferring, and goes off when it's safe to eject the drive. My 128 GB drive has 117 GB of useable memory. Transfer speed is fine. I didn't particularly take note of it. I did note that it does not get hot when transferring files which I believe will preserve long life.

Missing Memory
It's only 117 gbz. If these drives are advertised as a certain amount then the they need to be more than that amount for the extra space that's used for whatever technical reasons! So if it's 128, then make it 140 so when we get it, it will have 128gbz of space!

Very colorful, large capacity
I used these to give vacation photos to my family. Colorful, slide cover to cover USB connector is handy and stiff enough to stay put.

Love these time savers
I'll be buying more. Maybe at a smaller capacity. I find it easier to load my edited photoshoots onto these for models than sending them electronically. I can get all 3 cameras pictures and the 2 or 3 videos on here in just a few minutes without sending multiple files or wasting my own money on prints for models. I need a few dozen of these little time savers on hand. They're inexpensive enough that I really don't mind spending a few dollars to make my life easier.

Currently my daily driver
I am in IT. I have had many USB flash drives over the years, some cheap, and some very expensive. I refuse to get the pricier ones these days, as they always get lost and end up being a waste of money. Enter the KOOTION 128GB, USB 3.0 spec thumb drive. It isn't huge, but the price was right, is noticeably faster than my older USB 2.0 flash drive, and retracts into its own housing, so less lint and junk gets stuck inside the mail USB-A connection. I have had this drive for the better part of a year now, and I am pleasantly surprised I haven't lost it yet too, which makes me happy because I really like it. Thank you KOOTION for a great product! :)

Nightmare Experience - Cost me $70 to retrieve files
It gives me no pleasure to write this. This will probably tank sales of this item, but if I don't share my experience then it might happen to other buyers.I bought this just to free up some space on my hard drive. I plugged it in - it was immediately recognized - I transferred the files, mostly old pictures, and that was it - done. Later in the day I decided to check the drive, and to my horror received "directory name is invalid" and "need to format the disk...".I tried the flash drive in other USB ports on my computer and on another computer - same result. I am not super techy but I know enough that if I formatted the drive I would lose everything on it.In my panic I downloaded a data recovery tool not really researching the specifics of the tool. That worked great in retrieving the files until I went to save the files and discovered only 1GB was "free of charge". I would have to pay a minimum of $70 for a one month subscription.I did more research on other totally free data recovery tools and tried one in particular, but I think maybe it was too late as the files were already recovered...???...as I said I am not super techy. Anyway, I decided to pay the $70 to get it over with.I contacted the vendor, they did refund the purchase price and said I could keep the flash drive (why would I want it), but ignored the $70 I spent. I suppose that was my decision, and my stupid fault for choosing that tool - but it was their product that put me in that position. As an experiment, I then did format the drive to see what would happen. It was recognized, and I transferred a few files (after copying) just to see what would happen. After several times removing and reinserting without problems I got the "need to format the disk".Most of the reviews of this item are positive so maybe I just received a bad one, but for sure I am not trying again or buying again.
