My 6 year old lab/great Pyrenees is a picky boy when it comes to his food. He has had skin sensitivities like itching,dry,dull coat plus getting diarrhea, gas and belly aches. Since we had switched to this food 5+ years ago it's been so much better! No accidents in the house, the uncomfortable belly aches and bloating are completely GONE! After doing some research basic brand dog foods swell up terrible almost double their size when they get mixed with liquid (just normal water)Diamond grain free DOESN'T! Each bite of this kibble is the size of a dime,being the color of chocolate with a natural protein smell. Not only is the look of this food different it's also not completely dried out like a cotton ball. You can tell it's made with exceptional ingredients to keep it job natural. We buy the 28 lb bag and it lasts us a month for our 110 lb Fella. Believe it or not this food helps our pup in tip top shape from healthy energy to keep up with the kids and grandkids as well as getting a good night's sleep. He isn't having to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night or having any gas. Diamond is an amazing family owned company who care about our pets, unlike the many others who are a dime a dozen trying to make a buck. We love our Handsome boy so we only feed him the best to keep him happy and healthy. Feel free to do your own research to compare the first five ingredients on the dog food you have to this one. Although my veterinarian suggested grain dog food, the nutrients in the grain free are so much better. My dogs like the taste and I believe it’s healthier than other brands on the market. It’s a 28 lb. bag which is lighter than most other bags but one good thing is - it’s easier for me to lift and carry! The price is a little high, but all dog food has increased in price. The ingredients are well worth the price because it’s healthier for your dog.

I have a french bulldog who is severely allergic to rice, white potatoes, and many other filler ingredients found in nearly ALL dog foods. I have resorted to cooking his food from scratch (ground turkey, cauliflower, broccoli) with olive oil. He has been on that home-cooked food for three years now; his allergies have cleared up, and he is a much happier fur baby. However, I felt like he needed some crunch for his teeth. I found Diamond Naturals Grain Free Formula during the Amazon Prime Day Sale. My boy has a sensitive stomach, so I've been slowly adding a bit at a time and watching his poo for signs of distress. It's been a couple of weeks, and he is doing very well. No skin irritations or bowel irregularities. I would highly recommend it to anyone with a dog severely allergic to the fillers most often used in dog foods.As of August 3, 2022I'm pleased to report that my fur baby has fully transitioned to eating the Diamond Naturals grain-free formulation 100% in his feedings with zero - yep, zero skin or digestive irritations. It took nine years to get to this point. I'm soooooooo grateful.

Decent dog food for price

It was the brand the dog has been eating, so continuing with.

Such a great product and not as much junk ingredients like other products.

We have an 85lb 2 year old yellow lab and he, well, would pretty much eat whatever we put in front of him! That said, he eats this food exclusively and his digestive system is extremely healthy! I like that this food is grain-free and has a lot of good ingredients listed on the bag.We started him off with the non-grain-free Diamond Naturals products but switched to this when we noticed him having some skin rashes. I'm not sure that I can say for sure that this food helped, but one thing I did notice is he seems to eat a little slower (this is a good thing, because OMG, Dyson has nothing on this guy!) because the food is in slightly bigger chunks, so he actually chews a little rather than swallowing it whole! We give him two cups morning and night, and we go through a little over a bag per month.This seems to be the top of the line offering from Diamond Naturals.Update: our vet recommended that we shy away from grain-free foods, as studies have shown that they can be bad for a dog's heart in the long run. We have since moved to Blue Buffalo and I am happy with our decision.

This is a decent mid-range food, I looked to switch my dog to it from blue buffalo life protection formula (chicken and rice) because since he's been on the blue (about 3 months) he's had issues with loose stools and periodic bouts of diarhea.Anyway I was happy to find this, a decently priced grain-free food. It has less meat, more vegetables than most other grain free foods - lower protein content too, but protein and fat are comparable to the blue he was on. None the less decided to give it a try.Unfortunately my husky turns his nose up at this food, mixed it in with the blue and he tries to pick around it and just stops eating after a few bites. Maybe the lower amount of meat and higher amount of vegetables turn him off of it.Alas, this food ended up not working for me - I have to keep searching, maybe for one with a higher meat content.
