Neotech 2301192 CEO Comfort Strap for Clarinet, English Horn or Oboe,Black

The reviews for this product were a bit mixed, I'm not sure why. I bought it for my 12 year old son, he's a little small, he found the clarinet a bit heavy for his thumb. The quality is very good, there is lots of adjustment and he finds it great. If like me you're doing all you can to encourage practice, buy this strap, as said it makes holding the clarinet easier, and makes encouraging practice (slightly) easier.

Really pleased with this - had developed an infection on my thumb which made paying F, A & Ab/G# particularly painful. I was also having problems with my wrist particularly when playing high register notes, due to the way I was having to twist it even with the Thumb Rest as high as it could go.This has made things much less painful for my Thumb & means that I'm able to have my Thumb slightly higher up the Clarinet Body as I've been able to take the Thumb rest & Rubber cover off the Clarinet, meaning that I'm not having to twist my wrist to reach the keys.

It is okay but a bit bulky

Interestingly, what I thought I was buying was a clarinet strap (as pictured) so was surprised to read after I'd paid that I'd bought a 'saxophone strap'. I rang Myatt's who told me Amazon does occasionally change descriptions for no apparent reason. They helpfully checked my order, putting my mind at rest, and my clarinet strap arrived the next day. It's a great strap, btw, less springy and more robust than the one it's replacing.

this is a well made strap with a well cushioned back and easily adjustable BUT it was in 3 sizes, being REGULAR, JUNIOR AND LARGE. as I am an adult of just over 5 foot, I obviously bought the regular size, but it was too short. I certainly would not have bought the long size. after a day or so of thinking, we put a 'dog-tag' attachment on the ring on my clarinet which gave it an extra inch or so and this solved the problem. the measurements are given in the advert but it's not possible or easy to understand how this affects the item.

Arrived on time. Great for my daughter who is quite small. It supports her clarinet well.

I bought this neck strap to use with my cor anglais (English horn) as advertised. However it is far too short to use - just about long enough for the oboe maybe.

I bought this for my oboe and it works perfectly. I is so comfortable and it is very easy to clip on and off. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a strap for their woodwind instrument.
