I have a 1989 Baja Islander 190 with a 4.3 Mercury V6 Alpha One. This works well with the OEM tank and gauge. The wire is long and sensor is accurate. The screws are strong and don’t strip. They are Phillips head which is nice. The holes only align one way so make sure to keep rotating until you get it perfect. It also shipped fast and arrived faster than expected.

I like that it worked. Best part is that the shaft is made of stainless steel. My old fuel tank sender unit was plastic and junk. As you can see from the pic, the plastic one bent and failed. I had no functioning gas gauge. This new one was so easy to install. No issues with lining up the gasket and holes. Only complaint I had was that the screws supplied were fine thread. And the tank accepted standard size threaded screws. I was able to use the old ones. I tested it out and the gauge works. Seems very accurate as well. Great float system. Much better than those bobber type fuel sensors. I would def recommend getting this. I bought the 8” one because my tank is 10” deep. I prefer to know that I have enough fuel in reserve. I would def buy this again. High quality. Price was great and it arrived at my door in less than 24 hrs. Delivered by Amazon. USPS would have taken almost 5 days to deliver. Satisfied customer here. The fuel level must read empty fight after a full up. It was working previously to this. Got a new part & back to new again .

This was a perfect replacement for the sender on our 2001 Crestliner with the 30 gallon tank. I highly recommend removing the old one and checking its length (and perhaps actually measuring the depth of the tank) before ordering a replacement.
