KastKing World's Monofilament 274M/300 Yards - 8LB

For mono I usually buy Spiderwire or Berkeley Tri line and was skeptical of this. When it arrived it did not look like there was anything close to 300 yards of 12 lb on the spool and almost sent it back but couldn’t be bothered, it was only $10. So I spooled a 3000 and tried it. I was blown away by how smooth it casted, it was like my spinning combo had turned into a baitcaster. I have since spooled another 3000 and there is still line left on the spool. Surprised.

I was very skeptical but this seems to be a really good line so far so good I have no complaints and for the money you can't beat it

High abrasion resistance is my number 1 reason for me using KastKing line. I fish for catfish on the Snake river in Oregon from the bank, where I'm always draging my line on the rocks. KastKing holds up better than any of the many lines I have tried. It's also high visibility. Great for night fishing with a black light.

Durability has not been an issue and it cast very well.

Purchased 8 lb crystal clear. Very easy to load on a spinning reel, label up. The line memory coming off the spool is extremely low which is probably why it loads so well. I'd say it has a fairly low stretch for a mono. Haven't placed enough use on the line to truly test the abrasion resistance, ties well and knots slide easily into place. Clear enough to see the red labeling on the reel spool with a 150 yards on top, so pretty clear. So far it plays well.
