I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. If one is a Martin fan it will be an emersion into the Martin legacy. I must say kudos to Chris Martin IV, current CEO. This man makes his forebears proud. A brilliant businessman who knows the evolving guitar business and understands his legacy of continuing to stay true to creating fine handcrafted guitars. The extensive and detailed records of the Martin business from 1833 remain mostly intact, and were used to construct a rare and authentic view of an evolving American enterprise. For the fan, and I am one the book is great fun the photography is excellent and the print/paper quality is very nice.I purchased a D35 in 1977, and I called Martin whilst reading this book, and they had the record of me being the original purchaser. Pretty cool. Not only that, the guitar has a little problem with separation at the pick guard (after 41 years) the gentleman on the phone said, "Send it to us and we will fix it-no charge. Or you can take it to an authorized luthier near you and we will cover the repair." That's why they have been around and thrived since 1833.

Lots of information
I have a love affair with Martin guitars. In my opinion, there aren’t too many better built guitars. So I thought it would be fun to have a book about the company and the many different models made through out the years. I was not disappointed. Filled with lots of information and wonderful photos, this book is a great addition to the guitar lover’s library - especially if they are a Martin Guitar enthusiast.

For Martin guitar fans....
Purchased this book as a birthday gift for a friend and guitarist who has a couple Martin guitars. He was thrilled with it, so I equate that success to the book's quality.
