It Connects

Well built and maintain a very solid connection!
I'm using a few of these with shielded cables for amateur radio microphone extensions. We all know that most of the clear plastic RJ45 connectors don't hold up after repeated use so I leave one of these on my microphones at all times and when I need to remove the microphone I disconnect the side that's attached to the Cat5 cable that's running to the radio. It's much easier to repair or replace a male RJ45 on a Cat5 cable than it is the one on the microphone cable. Every time you need to replace an RJ45 male connector it shortens the cabe on the device because of cutting, and stripping. Being that the microphone uses a special coiled type cord this is a problem even more. This solved the problem.Also, if you buy those cheap $2.00 ones, you'll find that they don't maintain a connection very well.
