Having had and used this for a while I can say it's design is supers. All the sockets are mostly occupied and from time to time I have used the USB outputs. It is compact but allows for quite a few devices to be connected with individual on/off controls. Brilliant piece of kit which I'd recommend for the home office.

Previously had a flat 8-outlet surge protected power block under the desk in my home office, which powered all the gear (monitors, computer, amplifiers, desk lamps, printers, print server, etc.)Young male cat decided that "under dad's desk" was a great quiet place to scent mark and relieve himself when he couldn't be bothered to walk to the litter tray. Circuit breaker on the main fuse box tripped out, we eventually worked out what had blown, and frankly the cat was very lucky not to get himself fried.Bought this tower as a replacement. It has the advantage of on-board USB, and the vertical form factor means I can stow it on a shelf under the desk, to avoid future such "accidents".Good points:+ works nicely+ solidy built+ easier to keep out of the way+ plenty of outputs+ enough power rating for my purposes+ cat cannot now comfortably reach my plug socketsMinor gripes, but these were mostly clear from the pictures and description, so not big complaints:- switches work one horizontal row at a time, which isn't quite as good as individual switches on the plugs- it can be a bit more fiddly to plug into these than on a flat horizontal power block.[ Side note: cat in question has since been neutered - let that be a warning to us all! ]

So, its well made, loads of capacity and yet surprisingly compact with great safety features; its not cheap but I don't want cheap when it's about electrical safety I want safe and functional so its a thumbs up from me.

Excellent tower extension lead with 12 sockets, three rows 4 sockets, good lead length and there is a an on / off button on each row as well. Value for money.

Quite impressed with this compact tower as we can also take it with us on holidays and weekends away. It is good for charging phones laptops IPads as it has 6 charger ports too. Great buy.
