Generally pleased so far.
It looks like a good quality product, and looks durable. It was easy to fit and gives confidence that it is safe and secure. Regarding whether it works to avoid scale in the "hot water" function of my central heating boiler (the function I bought it to protect - the Scalemaster is fitted in the cold water supply pipe close to the boiler), I can only hope that it does work as effectively as the product claims because it cannot easily be checked. I also have to hope that it will keep working effectively for a number of years, although it should be reasonably easy to change in the future for a new unit (I have quite good confidence that Scalemaster will still be around in a few years' time).

Now using much less washing up liquid
Seems to be doing its job, but early days yet. The water is definitely softer though, as the kettle hasn't had any limescale build up recently, plus I need a fraction of the washing up liquid compared to previously, so that's another bonus I didn't know about until now.
