This actually didn't fix my problem it was a totally different thing I needed to fix but this works

DIDNT WORK
I purchased this to replace the OEM part on my 2005 BMW X5. The swap out was pretty simple, but I continued to have the trifecta of lights on the instrument cluster as well as the ratcheting noise. I had the mechanics at a local garage take a look just to see if maybe I messed up somehow. Their diagnosis was that the new part was no good. They told me how to rebuild my old part. I ordered, "Transfer Case Servomotor Gear Repair Kit For BMW 323i 328i 335i X3 X5 X6 2004-2014 27102413711A" off Amazon to rebuild my original part. I reinstalled and it is now working perfectly. I can't say what the problem was but for 1/2 the money, i recommend rebuilding it.

Installed this and it did not work, would not calibrate motor or gears seemed to be too weak.
