Great beginner lightweight control paddle
Great starter paddle! It’s lightweight and is very forgiving. It gets great spin and control, but isn’t super stable in a hands battle. Add some lead to the sides and the stability will significantly increase. I ended up buying the Enhance Sweetspot Pro for the longer handle, but I had a great time with this Selkirk paddle.

Light with a good grip.
I've only tried a couple different paddles, but I like it. Lightweight, and allows for good spin on some shots.

Good paddle!
Love the feel and weight of this paddle. Has a nice “pop” when you hit the sweet spot. My only concern was the white grip only for aesthetic reasons. I wear a glove … so far so good. Very happy with my purchase.

Great entry level paddle.
I have been playing pickleball for a little while and when my mother showed a bit of interest I wanted to get her something that was not bargain basement cheap and that she could grow with a bit if she decided to stick with the sport. This paddle has been perfect for that. She played tennis in her youth and took to pickleball well. She is happy with the performance of this paddle and has not yet hit a point where she feels it is holding her back at all. I have other, higher end paddles from Selkirk and this paddle really isn't that far behind in overall feel and construction. Great beginner paddle and wallet friendly.

Nice Paddle
My husband is an avid pickleball player and plays any chance he gets. He's also very frugal and never likes to buy himself anything new, so he is always getting hand me down racquets from the better players at the park. He is fine with this. But I thought I would surprise him with a brand new racquet. I read the reviews and I have heard of the Selkirk brand, so I took a chance. So I gave it to him for Christmas and he was speechless. He went out the next day to play and he said he noticed a difference from his old racquet. And he said he won four games. So I dont know if its a coincidence, but I like to think the racquet was the reason.

Great paddle but won't last long
Update, 1/16/25. Change to 4-star for Selkirk customer services. They sent the replacement. I'll use this as my backup. I like their commitment of backing up their products, I've ordered the Amped to use as my primary. My first serious paddle (paid $100) and loved it. I rate myself as intermediate player (played 4 months) but this paddle gave me good spin. The power I couldn't tell (from my muscle, or the paddle added?). Fair control, go where I wanted. BUT... the quality is so bad. Only after 4 months, every corner showed damage (pictures). The grip torn off. Read the reviews and they all placed this in top 10, but all mentioned short durability. So, there you have it. Hope this help in your decision. Have filed for warranty and see if they honor that; otherwise, no more SLK/Selkirk for me.

Good beginners Paddle
I am a fan of the Latitude line by SLK. They are great quality starter paddle. The Lattitude line comes in several colors, and the Max shape is a good all around shape. I prefer the Lattitude over their starter set Neo set in terms of performance. If you are a beginner and have zero experience with any record sport, this is a good choice. If you are coming from Tennis or squash, you may out grow this paddle in a few months.Even with that I think it is good to start with one of these, and pass it on once you out grow it.
