Brought this product after reading positive reviews. Essentially, I needed to clean a heavily limescaled toilet bowl. Most of the area under the water was covered by limescale and it was was not affected by normal brushing or use of more standard bathroom cleaning products.I emptied the water from the bowl, then filled it with just under half the bottle of descaler (effectively so it covered the area normally under water.I left it to soak for about 3 hours, then flushed it through. Whilst it was soaking, occasionally I used a metal scraper to help knock the limescale off and scrubbed it with a normal toilet bowl. The result was that it completely cleaned off the limescale, so it now looks as new.It was a fairly expensive product (in my view), but really effective. Also I have enough to use it again or on another toilet if needed. So, I would highly recommend it and would probably buy again.

I was so close to changing my toilet seat i then decided to visit amazon to see if i can get any product that works this caught my eye due to the reviews i read and i decided to purchase it and i have no regret. I followed the reviews method clear out some of the water and poured in the liquid just before going to bed. In the morning i just gently scrub the affected part flused and that was it. Sparkling clean!! I'm so excited. I'm using this for my other toilet seat. This product is lit!!! Don't hesitate just buy it....

Living in a real hard water area we had some tough lime scale that normal bleach and supermarket agents wouldn't shift. Poured copious amounts of this into the bowl, stirred it round and let it stand over night and hey presto, clean and shiny again.

I am over the moon with the outcome. I recently bought a house and can't afford to do any work it it yet and the toilet had what appeared to be years worth or stained limescale built up in there. After seeing some of the pictures in reviews that looked like mine I gave it a go.I emptied absolutely all of the water out of the toilet and filled to above the limescale line with cleaner and left it in for around 9 hours. During that period I gave it a good scrub with the toilet brush about 5 times and every time thick chunks of limescale were loosening andcoming off.I flushed the toilet and scrubbed again another couple of times and it is looking amazing, all of the heavy stained limescale is completely gone. I can feel there is still a light later of limescale in there when brushing but I'm just going to keep going with my regular toilet cleaner.There is enough left in the bottle for another couple of cleans if ever needed. Would 100% recommend, it's saved me the cost of a new toilet further down the line.

Certainly is not the miracle product everyone else claims it to be. It works to an extent though Ive tough limescale in the toilet and this wont even shift it. It tends to run off too quickly. If it was stickier and stuck on the scale it may be better. Not any better than any other domestic supermarket product for the same task.

It is very weak, one of the previous answers says it is 30% phosphorus acid, the bottle shows a maximum of 10% citic acid. It was able to remove some light stains but is almost useless on heavy scale build up. I removed all the water from the toilet, filled up with the cleaner, left over night, scrubbed in the morning and very little of the scale was removed, topped up with more cleaner, left for several hours, scrubbed again, some of the light stains gone but most thick scale remains. I've repeated this process several times and I'm almost out of the cleaner, very disappointed.

Moving into a rented property in a VERY hard water area, the toilet bowl was badly scaled.I removed all of the water from the loo bowl by using a carrier bag wrapped round a loo brush, then plunging (with the few final traces of water soaked up with tissue).Using about half of this container to scrub and then fully emerge all of the limescale with the thick red gel.I did this before I went to work one morning.Twelve hours later I returned to what can only be described as a miracle! (or chemistry...)Most of the bowl was perfectly clean, after flushing. A couple of prods with a plastic rod and the few remaining bits of scale in the "corners" fell off.I can certainly recommend this product for sorting out badly limescale loos.It also smells ok, no horrendous chemical induced choking.The trick is definitely to remove ALL the water from the bowl, totally cover the scale, then leave for as long as possible.
