Acrylic is also called specially treated plexiglass, which is a replacement for plexiglass. It has good light transmission performance with acrylic. Beautiful and flat, taking into account the two effects of day and night, long service life, and does not affect the use of features. ACRYLIC is commonly known as "specially treated plexiglass" taken from "Organic Glass" (ie plexiglass).

Exactly as described
I just received this tank divider in the mail yesterday but I was so excited and so happy about it that I figured I would let everyone else know and write a review on it asap. I LOVE this divider (so far). It came decently fast, shipping in only a few days (5 I believe) which was good cause I was really needing it. I had a terrible plastic makeshift divider in my tank because my two rather large fish were not seeming to get along. I was reading the reviews and some people said they did not receive the correct size but mine was perfect. I measured my 75 gallon tank to get the dimensions which was roughly 17x19 and was almost a bit worried when I opened this as it looked a bit large however it fit perfectly. I had to kind of put it in at a tilt because there is a lip on my lid, but as soon as it went under that lip I was able to move it straight and it worked fine fitting right underneath the plastic lip. I did have some trouble when it came to peeling the outside layers off, because I had to use my nail to really scratch at it until I could get a good piece of the film enough to grab and pull the whole thing. Both sides came off completely with no issues leaving the crystal clear divider underneath. I could have actually gone with some holes that were a bit bigger because my fish are rather large, however the holes are a decent size and even medium fish would work well with this divider. I wish that the suction cups were a clear plastic too like the devider itself instead of a whiteish color, because that is the majority of what you notice. But it works well, fit perfectly, and looks great.

Did the job.
Arrived quickly and was packaged well so the plexiglass did not break. There is a film on either side that you HAVE to remove before installing that’s why some reviewers are commenting the glass is foggy. Also as the title of the product says it does NOT come with suction cups. You will have to purchase separately. I do item this is over priced for what it is. However I was in a bind and needed something quickly and this listing is the closest thing to what I needed. That being said I purchased this to keep my male and female axolotl separated in their 55gal tank. I had thought they were both male, well jokes on me when I found eggs in their tank. So far the separator seems to be doing a fair job at keeping them apart and I see no issues with the glass. Will update if any issues arise.

Does not do everything it is supposed to
When placing an order I read the previous reviews and questions to make sure I am getting what I pay for.1) this will not work for small fish. I read a question where someone was asking if this will work for guppies and it said yes, that the holes are now smaller. - WRONG they slide right through.2) although this said it would fit a 10 gallon tank, it does not. The cut is so exact that I cannot turn the divider/plexiglass to actually sit perpendicular the the tank walls.3) I am assuming that it is sturdy enough but I wouldn’t know because I cannot get the divider in all the way.Since my fish can clear swim through the holes I will be returning.

Does not come as pictured
The picture shows 4 brackets with 8 cups. I only received 2 brackets with 4 cups. The brackets are white, not clear. It’s really ugly in my aquarium, but I needed something now. I wouldn’t get this for a breeder tank as the holes are large and babies could go through. It’s a bit tall for my aquarium with an underground filter and gravel. I just flipped it to fit at an angle and it will work for what I need. I’ll modify it later after my fish grows a tail back and can go back with the others, or I get anther aquarium setup.

Divider that actually fits and works
this worked well when used in my tank to keep my fish divided. They were very happy in there after and it stayed in place.

Not the product depicted in the photo
I purchased the 10 gal divider to keep my frisky Mystery snail boy off his lady for a while. The divider fits so tight that there would not be room for the suction cups (which is actually good since the hardware is white, not clear as shown in the product photo). The divider holes are way smaller than depicted (mine has very tiny holes and I count (4) more holes in a row than the one ordered), which will reduce water exchange between both sides, reduce circulation, filter ability, and potentially create different temperature conditions. I'll monitor this for a few days and might try to carefully drill some holes wider so I don't have different water conditions between the partitions.

Good for partition
Needed for separated fish and others. Just the right size.

Really not worth the money
PROS:- it is very clear, high quality acrylic- the holes are a nice size to allow good water circulation but prevent large fish from getting from one side of the tank to the otherCONS:- the suctions cups cost $10 extra- the brackets on the suction cups are not really big enough, you have to center the acrylic sheet just right to get it to stay in both the front and back brackets. If the divider slides too much forwards or backwards it will come out of the brackets- there are gaps on the front, back and top large enough that small to medium (up to even 2.5/3" large) fish can squeeze through, completely defeating the purpose of having a tank divider unless all you have are large/very large fish (I have a variety of African cichlids and the smaller ones keep getting on the WRONG side of the tank- this pos should have been perfect for the $60+ price tag. If I had it to do all over again I would not have purchased this or maybe would have if it were only $20. I will have to come up with a workaround to account for all of the issues with this divider
