After less than 1/2 dozen “flips”, springs broke and literally fell off. I would not recommend purchasing this knife. Very dissatisfied.

I got this for my teenage son for when he fishes and just to have when out hiking, camping, etc. I like the push button switchblade action of the blade and how it opens. However, my son complained that the blade was loose within the first day of use. He also said it was not real comfortable to hold. It does feel somewhat heavy. It comes with a black cloth-like case to keep it in, which is nice to have. It works well for cutting fishing line, and is handy to have for emergency situations. The blade is a decent thickness, but my son felt like the knife was cheap. So for durability, I would not rate this very high. Fine for certain uses.

For the current list price of $16.99 this thing is a steal! No clue what the blade steel is made from but it's better than your basic 5cr* or 8cr* Chinese steel varieties. Holds an edge as well as D2 blades.Blade edge had a few imperfections out of the box but was otherwise really sharp and has remained so despite heavy use.And yes, this is a push button switchblade style knife. Push the button and the blade swings open with a fierce quickness. Locks in open position. Sometimes locking mechanism doesn't engage but 95% of the time is fine.Comes with a holster.Pleasantly surprised!

Knife does not open or close after only a few weeks. Very dissatisfied with the quality, would not recommend.

I guess you can flip it out, with a motion like a yoyo. It took some monkeying with the screws to get it to do that. The metal is soft and does not hold a great edge. The wood was sealed but with a thin seal that will wear off. It's not really comfortable to hold, maybe for a kid, but it wasn't a great knife for whittling so what is a kid going to do with it? It doesn't feel sturdy enough for a whole camping trip, maybe the first morning.
