Michelin Road Atlas Europe (Atlas (Michelin))

Excellent atlas
I was really surprised by the detailed maps. I use it for planning our vacation and set out on the map where the attractions are. Gives an idea of where you want to pick your hotel. We are firm believers in walking around vs taxi or other transportation. This atlas gives me that opportunity. Highly recommended.

Scales are not quite good enough
I compared my Michelin France book to the Michelin Europe book and the France one is vastly more detailed. If you must have a 40-country book, this one is decent, but personally I prefer great detail so I’ll be buying individual country books from now on. However, there are countries not covered in book formats, only a single sheet map. So, the only problem with this book is the scale and detail. If one plans to travel on backroads or on obscure routes, this book is not for you. But, if you are on a tour that uses only main highways and freeways, it’s a great book.

So helpful for everyday life
I love my Atlas. I live in the United States but travel frequently to Europe, as do my kids. This is so helpful when planning a trip for myself or others. Easy reference, large print. Perfect for ALL ages. I originally bought this for my 5 year old grandson who loves to read maps. Highly recommend!

Okay, but you'd be better off buying individual maps
I bought this for navigation on a recent multi-country European trip. While I am plenty skilled at map reading, I found the atlas difficult to decipher. There is often too much information for the scale it is being presented. It is hard to find keys that explain what you are looking at (I never did figure some of the information out). Maps are broken at the spiral binding just where you need to read them, which can make navigating a challenge. I purchased this rather than individual country maps, but in retrospect, I should have bought just the maps I needed which would have provided greater detail with a lot less bulk and weight.

Great Map
Great way to plan your trip to Europe. This is one of the best maps if you are trying to figure out where you want to go in Europe. I would recommend this map for anyone planning a trip to Europe.

Nothing competes with this atlas
Have used Michelin maps and Atlases for decades. Like all the new colors in this maps and the tabs. Little colored national flags on each page are a nice touch. Have always been amazed at how thin Michelin makes their paper. Thin paper works well and packs more pages into the atlas. But, it feels fragile. This smaller size map book in more manageable in the front seat of car than the larger atlases they used to publish.

Great if you are traveling in Europe
This is a very complete atlas of Europe. It is relatively easy to navigate. I have the older, larger version and wanted to be sure I had current maps. This one looks like it will be easier to carry around.
