This was such a good buy – it solves so many of the issues I had with my old hottie. With those old-fashioned floppy rubber ones, I hated most the danger of trying to fill the thing with hot water while grasping the rubber neck - and then also the excess heat which makes those old rubber ones dangerous and requires wrapping. Plus the ever-present fear that the water I was using was too hot and the damn thing would perish – either through excess heat or old age – and I would be scorched and my bed flooded.So this thing solves all those problems! First, it lies harmlessly on my counter top while I fill it and I don't even need to touch it. The cap is easy to turn, unlike that wretched stopper in my old one. Second I can stand it up on its square bottom and leave it to drain on my sink when emptying it. When filled with hot water the ribbed sides allow airflow to cool the temp and make it less hot to touch – this is helped by the fact that cos of the ribs only a quarter of the surface actually touches you. Plus it comes with its own fleece bag for further insulation. Now, you may be wondering about the rigid construction, but what I did not realise before first using it is that the back side is concave and fits around your body. Combined with the flat bottom, this means that I can fill it and immediately lie in bed with this standing against my ribs. It stays there all night.This is a major step forward in bed warming tech. The price seems high, but I think it is more than worth it. Take the risk and try it out.

I wanted a bottle that I could not squash. This fits the bill perfectly. It comes with a fleece cover and keeps you warm for a long time. Very pleased, wish it was a little cheaper to buy.

This is a hard bottle like a water carrying container, it is not a squishy hot water bottle so is not comfortable to put on body parts for pain relief.I have a hot water bottle for comfort and at night but I suspect I’m getting contact dermatitis from the latex which is why I tried this one.The main positives I can see is that it is easy and safe to fill and can be laid on the counter to pour water in (useful if you are not very strong or stable), I also cannot see where it could leak as the cap is sturdy (I have had lots of traditional water bottles leak). Also, it has a carrying handle which would be good for elderly or disabled.Overall I think it would be great if you just want a safe way of heating a bed without wanting to cuddle a squishy bottle.

Unusual but useful for warming the bed but not likely to be held in bed

In my opinion this is not a hot water bottle. You might as well use any plastic container and fill it with hot water. It didn't keep hot and is solid. It talks about using a cover to stop burns but it's hardly needed. I tried it with and without and found it totally useless. I think it would be more use to carry water to your allotment or something but who'd pay this much for that.

The dog INSISTS on time out sleeping in the car. Now it's colder this water bottle has become invaluable! No leaks amd stays hot/warm for hours. Its like having a radiator out there and the cover is really good quality. Not cheap but WELL worth the price and I'll probably buy another

OMG this is perhaps the biggest secret export from Japan .... fill it up with 80degC water & slip into your bed .... toasty warm all night .... & the scary part ..... its still warm the next morning ..... I was sceptical about the price & have been anti-hotwater bottle for years but this is literally a game changer ..... (I have so much to be thankful for having a Japanese partner)

Well, I'm not so sure this was a good idea. There may be some small advantage in terms of safety when filling. However, having a hard piece of plastic in your bed cannot compare with a nice squidgy hot water bottle. I wouldn't say it retains the heat better either. And the cover is made of cheap synthetic material.

お値段も安くなっていて1000円以下でしたし、大容量であったかいです。ゴム製のを使っていましたがお湯温度を80度など微調整し、入れる時も不便でしたがこれは沸騰したものをそのまま入れれるし、入れ方も簡単です。ただやかんいっぱいに沸かしてもあと少し足りないので別の小鍋で沸かしていますのでソレはちょっと不便ですが。カバーは薄かったのですがこれくらいで十分です。ただ耐久性はどのくらいかな？パソコンを使用するときに足元に置いて使っています。満足しています。追加前回4月に購入時良かったので11月に両親にも2つ購入。4月は986円で11月は1215円。冬だから高くなったのかなと思いましたが　数日後には986円へ。お急ぎでない方は暫く値段の変動を見て安い時に購入されるといいと思います。

現役です。これほど役に立つとは思いませんでした。電気毛布なしでこれだけで冬をすごせています。朝になっても暖かく、布団に入れておけば夕方までほんのり暖かい。昼間はさめるまで椅子の足元においています。ゴロゴロしますが足の裏が暖かい。最近、また電気毛布で寝てみたのですが、暖かさの質が違って私には湯たんぽのほうがあっています。エコのつもりで買ったのですが、2.6リットルと容量が大きく、ガス代がかかっているかもしれないですが。

冬キャンプでの寝袋内で使用するため購入しました。必要とする機能性は満足しています。サイズや色は記載の通りであり、取扱説明書等は同梱されていませんでした。冬キャンプでの寝袋内の足先が冷えるのを解消すべくこの湯たんぽを購入しました。沸騰したてのお湯を注いでも、本体及びキャップ等が溶けるようなこともなく、水漏れもありません。熱による「プラスチック臭」ももちろんありません。保温性能はありませんが、翌朝でもやや温もりを感じます。気になった点としては、水を抜く際に本体内に若干残ってしまいます。コスパ的に大変良く、満足しております。

使い始めて2ヶ月目です。心地よく使っていました。今朝起きて、しばらくしたら、部屋の床が水浸しでした。大騒ぎです。2階から1階まで水が流れていました。湯たんぽから漏れていました。寝る時には、漏れていませんでした。湯たんぽを立てて置いたのですが、パッキンから漏れたようです。ちゃんと閉まっていたのにどうして漏れたのでしょうか？設計に問題がないのでしょうか？温度変化による圧力変化を逃す機構が備わっていません。水漏れ保証できていますか？

初めてのキャンプ。しかも小学校低学年の子供2人を連れて不安な中、天気予報では夜間の気温が氷点下・・・何を準備したら良いのか、今の装備で足りているのか等々不安でいっぱいでしたが湯たんぽのおかげで無事に夜を過ごすことができました。しかも子供に聞くと暑いぐらいだったらしく、湯たんぽの効果は絶大でした。ただ、お湯を沸かすのが非常に大変でした・・・友人にパーコレーターを借り約10回ほどお湯を沸かし、湯たんぽを準備しました。もう少し小さいのでも良かったのかな？
