CarharttMen's Full Swing® Steel Multi Pocket Pant shorts

I wear these pants almost everyday to work working residential construction. They are a huge improvement from the original carhartt double knee pants. The knee pad pockets are great with all the kneeling I do. The other thing I noticed is how much lighter and more breathable they are during the summer heat.

Do not hesitate. Pricey, but very comfortable and recommend the large knee pads to fill the entire space of the pocket

Full time carpenter here. These pants replaced the heavy denim pants I used to wear for work. These Carharrts are now my go-to pants for everyday use in construction. The form fitting stretch of the waistband eliminates the need for a belt, so it’s great for wearing tool bags and not worrying about the belt chafing. The built-in knee pads (sold separately) are amazingly comfortable, as thin and lightweight as they are. Even when wet, the pants stay light, and don’t sag- unlike common denim. I use them for everything from forming/pouring concrete to framing, and even finish work, but they especially shine when roof framing: the stretch of the fabric is a must for climbing through trusses and generally monkeying around without worrying about ripping anything. They are extremely durable under heavy everyday use! I wear a 33-34” waist, with a 34” inseam, and these pants have run true to size so far.

Very sturdy pants, but I would suggest getting one size bigger than you are at the moment. I'm a 33/30, ordered a 34/30, and it's tight. Other pants size 34 are bit too loose.
