Made in Germany. Quality item. Multiple languages. Clear visible weight display and voice speaker very clear. Sleek design. Step on area larger than most scales so good for visually impaired. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.

Very good. My old one used to shout out your weight so loudly (on lowest setting) that anyone in the room below or even two rooms away from the bathroom could hear what you weigh! This one is clear but not too loud. I like not having to bend down and squint at the screen.It looks smart and has four memories. Only downside is that it does not calculate and tell you (out loud)your weight gain/loss - which my old one did. That's a big disappointment for me, frankly - otherwise I can't fault it. If it calculated the weight loss/gain I'd have given it five stars....

As your sight fails weighing scales in the bathroom are a problem, these talking scales are a wonderful comfort, easy to set up, precise and audible. Helps with your maths as well, deviding the lbs by 14

We bought these scales because they were well-reviewed and provide speech output, helpful for those of us with limited eyesight.They arrived quickly and look great in our bathroom, and worked beautifully for 11 months.Now any weight placed on the scales results in the scale announcing "overload". I have replaced the batteries, read the manual and attempted without success to contact Beurer on several occasions.So how on earth do we get a fix, replacement or refund?

I have no complaints about this at all. It's easy to set up and particularly good because the only batteries required are standard ones. Display is large and the voice is clear. Feels well made and high quality - much more so than similar scales I have owned in the past made by other manufacturers whcih I chucked out because they broke. Time will tell whether this one lasts, but my hunch is that it will given the obvious quality and construction levels.

Just to advise that the batteries were flat. I had to provide new ones. Can you provide new ones? Once the new batteries were installed it seemed to work. Hopefully that will continue.Rather disappointing though to find that the enclosed batteries were dead. In fact, I when I put them into the machine they started to burn and smell and became extremely hot, too hot actually to handle. I removed them immediately as I did not want to damage the machine.I would appreciate some feed back on this please.

Very good quality large LCD display and very clear speech on this scale, the unit turns itself off after you use it.It has a high impact polycarbonate surface so any item you may drop on it should not damage it.Five stars for build quality and operation, it's price is just right at £33.99
