Just what I wanted
This is my first mechanical watch and I love it! After months of research, I selected this to be my first mechanical watch because of the highly regarded movement, classy dial, and sapphire crystal. The exhibition case back and hand winding features are great bonuses. For the price, I would argue there's nothing better out there (including Seiko, though a Cocktail Time will likely be my next watch purchase!). The accuracy is more than adequate for an entry level mechanical. Mine runs about +7 sec/day. I love the elegant handset and applied markers. The finish on the dial is a deep blue sunburst that looks black in most light, but lights up when you catch it at the right angle. Sapphire crystal is flat (which I prefer over domed) and has held up perfectly for the past month or so of daily wear. The case is simple, with all surfaces using the same polished finish, but it looks well-appointed and dresses up my usual business-casual work attire quite well. The only negatives I can come up with are totally reasonable and expected at the price point. The bracelet is a little rattley, and feels lighter than other steel bracelets I've worn (not necessarily in a good way). I always planned on changing to a strap and have 2 quick-release Barton leather straps that I change out for color. I would love to see some cleaner texture on the dial surface and the case is a bit thick/tall for a traditional dress watch. But, with an in-house automatic movement that exceeds accuracy tolerances, it's actually pretty svelte!
