Purina® Outlast® Gastric Support Supplement, 40 lb

We added this to our thoroughbred's feed- did not make him hot and he loves it. Great gastric support.

I just received my second bag and I do feel my gelding is better. He's had issues with ulcers off and on for years. He had a surgery in July and we're still dealing with issues in that so I was on the hunt for something to help him. My vet told me about Outlast, although not a "true" ulcer med, he felt it would help my gelding during all this time from the surgery. He seems happier and I haven't seen one of his flare-ups since I started him on the Outlast. Will keep him on this forever. He's also on Purina Health Maintenance and it has Outlast in it... very good buy and happy with the results.

Noticed great changes in my horse after 2 weeks. I have given the max dose for 3 months which has allowed my horse's small ulcer to heal. Literally saved me $1200 avoiding ulcer meds from the vet. I now give him 1 cup before I ride to keep his stomach coated and I have not had any other issues. SELLER SHIPS VERY QUICKLY!

I only gave 3 stars because of the price. After ordering I found numerous places that sell it for $44. This is over priced. Tractor supply is one of the places.

I have been feeding this for years. Keeps my ulcer prone horses belly happy, and also brings a beautiful shine and dapples to the coat, so you know it’s working! It’s in easy to feed pellets, that smell amazing. So even my picky eaters gobble it up.

It's very hard to know what feed products really make a difference, especially with a horse that isn't working. I'm using this on a 30-year-old mare who was severely depressed when she lost her companion a few months ago, and wasn't reliably eating her supplements. Now she is eating them, and with a new companion next to her, has rallied. She is very energetic compared to her behavior the last few years. A friend recommended this product and I do think it has increased her appetite and energy.

It has been proven that therapy horses have a lot of stress even to the point of causing ulcers. We have out horses on a regimen to try and prevent this. So far--good!
