Junk. Reel failed on first fish
Thought I'd take a chance and ordered this reel for one of my surf casting rods. Took it out Sunday for the first time. Had it all set up to handle a decent size fish. About 45 minutes in, something big took the bait and the fight was on! All was going well for about 10 minutes, when suddenly the fish broke the line and off he went. Reeled in the remaining line. Discovered that I could no longer pull any line off with the drag system. Completely stuck. Returning reel and can say do not order this if you want to handle bigger fish.

Saltwater use
I've used this mainly in saltwater and brackish water fishing. It's a fairly large reel and I'm using on one of my small shark rigs. It took a fairly good amount of 50 pound braided spiderline. The largest shark I've caught so far on this reel is about three and a half foot. It reeled it in like reeling in a bream on a bass pole. So I know it can easily handle a bigger shark with no issues. It cast about as smoothly as any other reel. I have a Quantum Cabo spinning reel that is hands down my favorite or any spinning reel. I have it rigged for big shark, big bull reds, and big black drum. I would use this reel for this same application, but with a lot less confidence than my Cabo. This is comparing a cheap, but still good fishing reel to a couple hundred dollar great fishing reel. All in all, it is a good cost efficient reel that will get the job done. It's surprising lightweight for its size and has a good drag. I've had no issues with the bell wanting to flip itself closed during a cast and snapping my line. Once I catch a few larger fish, my confidence level might go up. I need something to push the claimed 55lbs of drag to its limits. It's still a 5 star reel for the price either way.

One MONSTER sized reel!
So what I got was the 1300 size reel and I guess there is also a 1500 size reel. Can't imagine how the one I got could get much bigger! Just check out the third photo with me holding the reel in my hand (which I was only barely able to do) and you will get an idea of how huge this reel is. I am making a big deal out of this as you really need to understand how big this reel is. This isn't your average fresh water reel. This thing is for MONSTERS! More than likely it's better used for salt water fishing. I could see this useful for fresh water fishing but only if you are after 100lb+ fish like huge gar.The reel is quite smooth for a sub $100 reel. Not Shimano smooth but certainly one of the smoother sub $100 reels I have used. While there is a lot of metal here there are some plastic bits which takes away from the premium quality feel & look of the reel. I am not a fan of the green color. It gives it a cheesy look and I don't like at all. The handle is unique. The knob is longer on one side which can make it easier to really crank down hard. The gear ratio is only 4.7:1 however keep in mind this is a reel so it going to reel in much faster than 5:1 smaller reels. Now I need to say something to the seller. It's the last paragraph in the description of the reel. This part:"PLEASE CONFIRMED BEFORE YOU ORDER:According To The Different Configurations Of Each Series Of Reel Model Line Parameters (Mono, Braid) Different Size Of Fish To Buy The Right Reel,If The Fishing Reel You Bought Is Lighter Than The Actual Fishing , Please Do Not Pull The Rod Or Reel Handle, This May Cause Damage To The Fishing Reel, The Correct Way Is To Turn The Knob Of The Tight Dray System Slip Away Fishing Until The Fish Is Exhausted."This makes no sense at all. Obviously this was written by someone who's English isn't their first language. Please reach out to someone to help you fix this. Heck, reach out to ME and I'll help! This language really takes away from the quality of this product. All in all if you need a HUGE reel to fight monster fish and you have around $90 to spend, then you could do a lot worse!
