Superb text and name book
I loved the introduction part of this book . The names .. arE very well selected ..I hope people will like it and develop an unconditional love for sanskrit names and name their children accordingly ..And I truly hope ...even the writers of fiction novels refer this book.I truly liked the first line of his introduction..the wisdom of father or parents is known from the reason behind giving a name to a child...It is fact these days naming a child has become a fashion . THE elders would not ask THEIR parents or in laws or even guru ..they would just name his or her child just for naming ...his / her kid ..Its just about gross fun.Name creates a character and Vibration so that is why ...in earlier days once after the baby born then the elderly people or grandparents of that particular family would call their family guru or family Panditto their place in order ..to give a beautiful sunāma..and then the Pandit or guru looking at child antics would suggest few names ... for the child born in the particular family. The best examples can be found in itihasa and puranas when a family guru gives a name to the child looking at stars and child behaviour..The best example can be taken of lord Ram , KRUSHN and Radha..So please do buy and read this book .This book is good for all the would be parents who want / wish to give their children good meaningful sanskrit names .. , learners of sanskrit , inquisitive readers and knowledge gathers of Sanskrit and so on ...Please do buy this book a brilliant effort taken and rendered by Nityananda misra in the form of Sunāma Sarit book ..Jai HindJai Shree KRUSHNJai Shree RamBajarang Bali ki jai.Vŕņdā

Lazy attempt at the compilation
It's pretty much of no use. Within a page you would be able to find only 1-2 names which make sense. The rest are probably something which you would NEVER name a child like Tankar. It's more of quantity over quality book.. would rather give it a miss.

Got a lovely name for daughter
Apart from listing 5k names for each gender, this book also gives the knowledge of what it means to give a meaningful name to our baby. I highly recommend this book if one is looking for unique Sanskrit names. For me it was worth buying, out of 5k pool of names, I needed just one and I am content with that. Cheers

Names without meanings
The names are good but they don't have meanings. How can I pick a name if I don't know the meaning. The essence of Sanskrit names lies in the meaning.Without meaning there is no use of a word.
