Definitely Size up
I ordered these tanks in size large for my 10 y.o. son, who is thin. They did shrink a little bit after washing them, but the fit was actually better. The picture here shows him wearing his tank after it was washed.

They are very thin on my 15 year old. Too stretchy to the point after a wash they tear and aggravating to put on. Just my experience. I will not buy again.

What I was looking for
I bought these for myself because I was looking for cheap tank tops for the summer. I’m female, 5’8” and typically wear size small or medium in tops and I got a large in these. They’re cheap and stretchy but they’re exactly what I was looking for.
