I am satisfied with these digital door lock and handle sets. Great quality, works well. Moderately Easy installation, just required reading directions and patience. The one thing I’m not thrilled about is that the digital inside door mount is black. I would have preferred the brushed nickel on both the outside keypad(as mine was silver/brushed Nickel) and the inside mount lock nob. I just assumed they’d be both side nickel .

Bought this back in July for a house we’re remodeling, just now got around to install it and it does not work. The mechanism is stuck and won’t twist when you turn the handle. Too late to return so I’m out the money

Another example of Chinese manufacturers selling without the ability to communicate instructions well in English. It might be bossible to figure it out but not because of the instructions. Hire a native English speaker!

The install was not difficult, but the directions were a bit confusing at first. The install time took about as long as a traditional dead bolt and handle set.I love the convenience of not requiring a key to unlock my door. The lock does operate on AA batteries, and it recommends non-rechargeable. You'll want to make sure you keep some extra on hand. The operators manual gives directions on how to reprogram the code and also includes a "visual flow chart" which is very helpful. There is a beep that happens whenever you press a key, the sound is a bit loud but can be disabled if you want. 3 keys were included just incase you need to manually unlock. The inside locks by rotating a knob on the backside of the door. I also really like how it sounds when the door closes now. This lock feels better built than the standard dead bolt set. Because of the build quality, the door makes a more solid thud sound when it closes. It also latches better than my previous lock. A very good upgrade for me.One issue I have, you may or may not, is my door and frame are old and not in perfect condition. When my door closes, it is not 100% flush with the frame. This IS a problem for the door locking mechanism. When I look the door, I have to slightly pull the handle at the same time so the deadbolt lines up with the striker plate. The unlocking is also a bit odd. The directions make it sound as if you follow the same process to unlock the door as you do to lock it. When you follow the process to unlock the door, I have to hold the lock/unlock button for about 2-3 seconds to active the unlock feature. Anything less and it will attempt to lock the already locked door.

The color is nice but the craftsmanship is severely lacking. The motor doesn’t catch the lock, making it completely useless because you can’t use the electronic pad to lock or unlock the door.

How does it work? Who knows?Seriously, a manual should state the basics then move to the more complicated. This one skips the basics and jumps straight to very complex descriptions that leave a lot implied rather than stated. Are we supposed to be able to open with the code from the outside if the bolt was closed from the inside by rotating the knob? Who knows, the manual says nothing about the knob's usage at all and in tests it seems like the unlock is about 50% of the time if it was closed from the rear knob. For the inside back lock switch the manual is just *wrong* as far as we can tell - you'll need to press and hold the back lock switch again for 3 seconds to restore it to normal operation, a step left unsaid in the manual. Installation is the same sort of thing. There are all sorts of ambiguities that resulted in having to install the lock 3 times as there are four possible configurations of internal switch settings and cylinder alignments (Hint to manufacturer: the diagram "identifying your door handing" is currently ambiguous, the hinges appear to be on both sides of the door in the diagrams and the side with the keypad is never identified). Ugh.I can't give a super detailed review of the function except to say it locks and unlocks. This lock has a bunch of different modes and the documentation doesn't make it clear if we're using it right. We have to repeat attempts to open it from time to time but then it seems to work so it often seems like the door is just following some logic we haven't learned yet.Having said that, the materials and finishes of this set are quite good. This moves it from one star to two in my book, and it could potentially be much higher.
