Affordable and functional, but sheds good prior features.
I’ve been a fan of Sony SBH50 and similar models for 7 years. Being discontinued, they’ve become scarce and therefore expensive, so I was happy to see a new, less expensive alternative.I do like all of these especially because the earbuds are small enough to listen in bed and not injure your ears if you roll over on them. They’re also excellent for all-around use. This model sheds some desirable features: the FM tuner, the alphanumeric display and, most annoyingly, the dedicated forward-back track selector. Instead, to go back one track, you have to hit the multi-purpose play button three times in rapid succession. And the buttons aren’t very quiet. So if you snooze through a few tracks of an audiobook and you need to go back it’s way too many clicks and you’ll likely wake whoever is sleeping next to you(!)So, if Sony were to resurrect the SBH50, I’d opt for that over this model in a heartbeat.

Not a worthy heir to SBH52
To explain the headline: the SBH52 was similar to SBH56, but had an FM radio, no camera control, and could be used like a tiny handset. It also used microUSB not USB-C. I had my SBH52 for nearly 8 years. I got it new. It still works, though the battery is on its last legs. The SBH56 has a better mic, but having had it for more than a month now, it loses and reconnects its bluetooth connection during phone calls, making it useless for that purpose. I'm using an LG V30 handset, which I've recently done a factory reset to, so it's not a glitch on the part of the phone. I also tried it with my iPhone SE and had the same problem. It's not a good thing. The connection gets the same amount of interference as the SBH52 did, which was my one major complaint about the SBH52.Pros and cons:Pros:USB-C, so it'll use the same charging cable as most new phonesCamera button: clever, useful for taking self portraits with the phone set up on a tripodFewer buttons: it uses strange but clever commands to reduce the number of buttons. For example, the play/pause button will go forward a song if tapped twice, or back one if tapped three times. Clever.Easy to fix broken headphones: like SBH52, SBH20, etc. it uses earbuds which cost about $15 to replace (people sell them on ebay, and probably here too) so stock up and you'll be good a long time. Earbuds are usually the first part of a headset to break, and most other makes solder the earbuds to the transceiver, so if they break you have to replace the whole thing not just the earbuds.Cons:Bluetooth connection issues worse than its predecessor SBH52: Useless for phone calls. No FM radio (which was nice on SBH52)Can't use it as a handset without headphones cableI really wanted to love this. Sadly, I just can't. It's okay, but not great.

All buttons should be working, but It could have been faulty.
So being a different way of using wireless headphones, I enjoyed it. Having replaceable headphones is always good to have so you don't end up having to spend another 60 or more on an entire set of wireless headphones. The clip is strong enough unless you put it anywhere else but near your chest and it's thick clothing. I keep it on my collar. The audio is great, especially with the headphones it comes with, but too bad there's no carrying case with the package. I am patient with charging, but it only takes about half an hour to fully charge from 20%. It lasts me a few days, I don't use it too much in each day. It's really light so it's difficult to notice if it's unclipped. Very easy to Bluetooth to phone. The camera button doesn't seem to work for my Xperia XZ Premium. The actually remote seems flimsy or fragile, but I haven't dropped it yet.

Poor build quality, poor sound quality
I purchased this because I had a good memory of the older version of this sony product. This product has poor build quality, poor compatibility with windows 10Then I found FiiO. that works even better at a similar price.I do not recommend this product. go for FiiO.
