I purchased the Sunbeam Royal Luxe Mushroom Heated Blanket in King size, and I couldn't be happier with my decision! This blanket is nothing short of a dream come true for chilly nights. This heated blanket is awesome! There are so many great points to this Sunbeam heating blanket!PROS;*Very large blanket - we got the queen and it is perfect for our bed!,*2 seperate heating sections with 2 seperate controlers - this function made my fiance' very happy,*The plug/cord is very long and is flat so sits perfectly under our mattress,*The cords between the plug and the controlers, and then between the controlers themselves are very long and can be tucked away so there is no tripping hazard,*The very long corded area tucks nicely between the wall and mattress - which is nice because you are not wrapped up in a cord while you sleep,*The cord is very thick and does not get warm at all,*The controlers are thick and very well-made,*The controlers come with an on/off button - a heat setting up level 12 - and a hour setting for how many hours you want before it turns off autmatically,*This heating blanket has been a total life saver as temps have been down to 14 degrees and my heating unit is out - I have been able to turn on the blanket to warm the bed while I cook dinner on setting 8 and then turn down to setting 2 when I climb into bed and be super comfy with no heater in my home!*The power cord can be removed from blanket for cleaning, comes with a paper saying how to safely wash the blanket.CONS;I honestly cannot think of any, lol

This blanket has pleasantly surprised me. It is extremely soft and cuddly. I was afraid that it would be too thin, but the thickness is just right for Louisiana climate, and I won't have to remove it for winter. I do not like a blanket if I can feel the wires. I can feel the wires, but it is covered up by the softness of the blanket material. It gets really warm. A setting of 2 is almost too warm on chilly nights. I haven't had it during winter, but I think it will be just fine. I would recommend this blanket.

Good things are that it is nice and velvety. It heats up very quickly and gets very very warm, I usually have to turn it down or off very quickly.The bad things are there are large sections where there are no heating wires and therefore stays ice cold. The hems are not professional looking, there is no binding, they are kind of raggedy. The previous blankets I’ve had had the label where the plug is, it seems to give some more support to the plug, this one does not. It’s just sort of hanging in the blanket fabric. It seems as though at some point it’s just going to. rip out. The light on the controllers are very bright, and when they time out the light does not go off, you have to actually push the button to turn the controller off. If it has timed out, you have to push it twice to turn it off .The controllers are very difficult to adjust when you are barely awake, all of the buttons feel the same when you’re sleepy, and not looking at the controller. This is the third or fourth sunbeam electric blanket that have bought, they typically last 2 to 3 years. All of the controllers have been different, this one is the worst, and this blanket is also the softest most velvety, my favorite of all the fabrics I’ve had. I think it is probably a good deal for the money. I just would’ve liked to have known about some of the things before I bought it.

I loved the cord. Nice and long with the plugin part connected to one of the controllers to use a cord by the bed. One controller drapes off the other with enough cord length to run behind the bed. Best cording system on any electric blanket I’ve ever had and I’ve purchased many over the years.I also like that I can set the auto turnoff to 12 hours. This works great for watching TV prior to going to sleep. Most turn off at 8 hours; thus if I forget to reset it prior to falling asleep, it doesn’t turn off during the night. Love that!It didn’t warm up much at first, but after turning on and off four or five times, it warms up perfectly. I guess it needed some burn-in time.Material is extremely thin, Same thing material on top and bottom unlike most that have warmer material on the bottom. That doesn’t matter much to me other than it is very light weight and doesn’t give the heavy blanket feeling I prefer, but I can throw a heavier blanket on top of it to get a more weighted feeling.Overall, I’m glad I purchased the blanket and love having a cord as it actually should be. Happy with this blanket.
