You're Changing Nothing
The most brutal out of all the Rambo series by far. Stallone comes back as one of his most memorable characters John Rambo and obliterates those that need to be. Excellent overall and this is the first time i had ever bought any of the Rambo films on any format, so it is hard to compare it to much but i was definitely happy with this. 9/10

His portrayal of Rambo and Rocky are perfect because of his foibles and that is what makes ...
What Stallone started with Rocky's return has become an on-going parade of yester year action heroes. This film should be commended for it's attempt at drama and realism. In this generation of computer gaming, children growing up are unaware of the consequences of violence. This more graphic sequel moves away from the A Team gung-ho style of the 2nd and 3rd films. The over the top gore provides a contrast to the pacifistic caring of the team of church sponsored doctors. Stallone has always been under appreciated for his talent, partly due to the medias obsession with his acting ability in comparison to others and the body count in his films. His portrayal of Rambo and Rocky are perfect because of his foibles and that is what makes the characters more acceptable. Like most great warriors, John Rambo fights out of a sense of duty. He is a man of honour that is forever tormented by his search for purpose and peace.

stallone back on form
first off i really loved first blood, it was and still is a great movie, 2 and 3 were ok, but with this fourth movie stallone is back on form. i am a huge stallone fan and it's even better as stallone directed this and he has definately put in the blood and gore in this film which makes it even better, bearing in mind it's been 20 years since the last rambo movie, rambo is still really beefy. i just love the way the story builds up gradually with rambo living a quiet life in thailand, who reluctantly gives a boat ride to a load of christian workers into war torn burma to take medical supplies to the sick ( " you won't change anything, go home") growls rambo before eventually agreeing, after which they get taken by the burmese army, and from what these bad guys do to women and children you find yourself wanting to see bad things happen to the burmese army. this is the point in the movie where it all kicks off big time as rambo, along with a group of mercineries go to rescue them, great action with loads of gore, love it.

Crackin' Blu ray, What F.....g Carnage.
Fancy some carnage to blow your hat off? Well this is not to be sniffed at. Probably the most blood curdling action movie ever to grace High Definition yet. A pristine looking Blu ray indeed, gorgeously crisp, and tremendous service from Amazon yet again. Us tough guys love our carnage, keep it coming Sly, we're thursty for more. As for Graham McTavish, well, John may have been an uptight bastard, but when he turns his arrow head on him, he's the gutless f..k.

Old-school action hero
I don't offer purchase sequels but this is one one those movies that, while building one the original, offers something new. I'm not a fan of James Cameron's 'First Blood: Part II' but couldn't resist the all-out action of Sylvester Stallone's 'Rambo.' Amazing once the action gets going, and everything a movie about a hero name John should be; just like 'Die Hard' this deserves to be seen.
