Expensive compared to other options, but works perfectly for 4K w/ HDR
I had originally purchased the 4K 4:2:0 model (not HDR compliant) to extend the signal from my 4K Blu-ray player to my new QLED 65". I thought $125 was a high price to pay, but bit the bullet. I couldn't get video to transmit unless I handicapped the video quality in the device settings significantly. I determined with the assistance of a J-Tech support rep that this was truly expected based on the specs of the non-HDR pair. So, I took a deep breath and bought the 4:4:4 HDR model for double the price, and video transmits beautifully and flawlessly. I have been using them for over a year with zero issues, other than my IR transmitter/receiver doesn't seem to work. This isn't a big deal for me, but if it is for you, take that with a bit of caution.I have these in use on either end of a 25' shielded Cat6 run. They do run a bit hot, but they're pushing ~18GB/sec, so I give them some grace. Bottom line - if you want to get the full benefit of your brand spanking new 4K HDR TV, and you need tx/rx baluns, you will need to pony up. I took a chance with J-Tech, and their performance has matched the reviews. Excellent!

Don't waste time on cheaper options - This works over cat5e!
Do not waste your time with cheaper options that are available - they don't work, and if they do, not nearly as good as this. I'm running just shy of 30 meters of cat5e and this works without any issues. The biggest difference between this and cheaper options is this requires AC power on both ends.It isn't all praises though. My one and only complaint is the units are on whenever there is power. I'm not sure if this will decrease life expectancy of the product or not. It concerns me that the only way to turn them off is to remove AC power from both units. It would be comforting if the documentation clearly stated if this is an issue that will impact the product over time. I would like to have seen similar functionality as WOL over IP networks. Don't know if the hardware is capable of this type of technology though. The product comes with both a receiver and transmitter. Also include cables for IR beaming so remotes can be used near the receiver endpoint - this function seems to work very well. Setup time was very quick. Longest part of the installation was getting the cat5e fished through walls and ceilings which is not related to the actual item.I would like to eventually test the option of distributing this signal through a isolated VLAN on my home network. However, the units are somewhat cost prohibitive for testing purposes alone. I don't have an actual need for this type of extensive distribution but can see where this would be a huge benefit in a setting where multiple displays are showing the same content, such as in a sports bar.Overall, 5 stars for working over cat5e at a distance of nearly 30 meters with no issues. The power issue doesn't warrant a reduction in stars but it would be nice to see this addressed in future versions or documentation.

Works perfectly - Plug and play - Pro quality
Packaged very well. Included adapters, stellar. Works perfectly for me, no glitches. Am using it with 50' cat 6 and 4k capable HDMI cables, at 1024P. No higher challenges tested. POE to receiver excellent feature. Don't like that the transmitter gets hot in operation, as that can shorten its life. Have not checked receiver for heat as it's mounted high with a video projector. Five Stars if not for the heat. It's compact and decently engineered.

You can see from afar.
I really love these. I have purchased the transmitter/receiver pair and also an additional receiver. These have all worked great out of the box. I have connected them using a dedicated Ethernet switch and was able to share the video over multiple devices at the same time. I am using these for a live streaming system. My camera is a long way from my sound system. So to get the video to the location of the sound system, these work great. The picture is great. Once I get the video to my sound system, I also need to send the video to another room for over flow viewing. That is where the second receiver solves that problem. And I have not noticed any degradation of the picture with multiple devices. There is about a 300+ms. delay from realtime and the video at the receiver. But I just purchased a 300 ms audio delay to get picture and sound back in sync. (Please note that any sound being transferred by the transmitter/receiver pair stays in sync with the video. I have a delay because I am embedding sound from a different source after the video is transmitted an therefore it is out of sync.) I highly recommend this product.

Works Flawlessly! No Sync Issues on 4K content!
I use 2 sets of these in my home theater. One set is used to send 4k video from my McIntosh MX121 Processor to my Sony 4k native projector over a 50' Cat6 UTP cable. A second set is used for a 75' run to the tv's in my bar at the back of the theater. High quality 2' HDMI cables connect the boxes to the devices. Works flawlessly! Prior to going this route I was having sync issues or 4k not supported issues intermittently. I have a really nice theater, it was driving me crazy to have all 4k native equipment yet troubles making it work. This solution is amazing! Now all my 4k content plays perfect, no errors, stunning picture.
