Amsterdam Herbal Premium Mix - 100% Natural Damiana Leaf - As used in the Coffee Shops

I have tried several tobacco alternatives over the last few years. This brand is easy to use and it tastes fine. I've given it five stars as it's very good value for money.

Damiana is from the same family as passionfruit and has some pretty funky and mysterious phytochemistry going on, which is responsible for its gently soothing and energizing effects. If you're into other, stronger herbs, those effects might be too subtle to notice, but overall, damiana is actually a pretty interesting and under-researched herb that I think should be more widely investigated and appreciated.As you can see, this damiana leaf is branded "Amsterdam". Well, I have spent a lot of time in Amsterdam coffeeshops but don't really recall encountering damiana there (admittedly my memories are bit... hazy), and the plant itself is native to the tropical and sub-tropical Americas. But in any case, it's a very nice mix, with a good moisture content level and ground up to a nice size: neither too powdery nor too chunky/bitty. Others have reviewed this product as if it were a looseleaf herb intended for brewing a tea or tisane, but that would be very much a secondary usage in my view!Overall, it's a very smooth, relaxing smoke supplied in a nice resealable pouch, and it will blend well with whatever other species you like to combust and inhale. I tend to use (legal, CBD) hemp leaf (shade leaf) for bulking out my regular mix, but this is a great alternative, and much, much better than tobacco. Its aroma in the pouch is not dissimilar to chamomile; in the mouth the flavor is rather neutral.Recommended!

Tastes rubbish, far too many stalks. You can probably go through 3 small sheets before successfully rolling. In my opinion. Better off smoking tree leaves

The taste wasn't to bad, very few flowers used. Lots of stalks and sharp pieces. Not the best for rolling with. 2 is cost based, due to value for money.

I decided to try this after friends mentioned the potential beneficial values that come from the Damiana plant and I'm actually very surprised with how well this product works.It's very simple to use, simply add one gram per 250ml of water and allow ten mins for the brew to mix, strain and consum.It works with aiding for sexual desire, libido and stamina but can also help with other conditions.It's fantastic for getting rid of hangover I have found and also has a lifting feeling when it comes to energy levels.It tastes exactly like other herbal tea I've had and isn't overpowering. It's quite a pleasant taste, don't be put off by the smell, it tastes nothing like the aroma.It's definitely improved my stamina and increased my drive. Highly recommended!
