120A MPPT Solar Charge Controller high power. Support maximum solar voltage up to 180V. But we recommend that you should connect to the solar system under 160V to reach the maximum power point tracker of the controller.
MPPT solar controller requires this rule to work normally: battery voltage / maximum solar power following these options: 12V/1440WP, 24V/2880WP, 36V/4320WP, 48V/5760WP. It support for most of battery types. User also can change the parameter to suitable with their own battery.
Unlike the other low power 60A 80A 100A MPPT solar controller, Homysun controller can charge up to 120A. But we have not develope the current limitation function yet. Therefore you should calculate your offgrid system carefully. For example, you battery is 48V 120AH but you install a solar system up to 120 Ampe, this will break you battery soon; in this case, you should upgrade your battery up to 560AH or decrease your solar panel power.
High power MPPT solar charge controller is equipped double fans. This makes the controller is always cool to work normally. Beside, a large aluminum heat sink in the back also help cool out the Mosfet components inside.
Smart Load function: There are 2 functions turn on/off the load: 1. A timer delay can be set after [setting time] since the sun goes down (when solar panel voltage under battery voltage), the controller opens the load untill the sun appears; 2. The controller can turn on/off the load base on the value of these 3 voltage parrameters: float voltage, over-discharge recovery voltage and over-discharge voltage. Please read this function carefully on the 3rd picture. Note: Maximum current only 20A.

Machine is Ok

Solar charge contorller charger can reach the marked 120a output .the radiator temperature reaches 118 F.I'm afraid the temperature is too high and I have added a 12v a small fan to dissipate heat . If no fans at 100A output the radiator temperature about 100 F .I think it's acceptable.I ' ve been using it for less than a month.It's a good work.
