It is adjustable, definitely watch some YouTube videos of how to set up a kick pedal if you aren't familiar. I think it's sturdy but a little squeaky has good action and response, has worked well for me for learning double kick. I use it on an electric drum kit with no issue. Good for price for beginners on double kick.

I’m not an accomplished drummer, but as a hobbyist, I’m very pleased with this upgrade!The construction and linkage are solid and despite my overweight, novice flailing about, the pedals stay put, and the paddles pound the drum head with unexpected alacrity.The springs were easy to adjust exactly to my very specific demands, allowing all the responsiveness I had hoped for, despite my own sluggish reflexes.Unless you are opening for (insert your favorite drummer here) this is an excellent choice for the price.

This was my first ever experience with a double bass pedal so I wasn’t sure what a good double pedal felt like. I tried adjusting the pedals a lot even removing the third spring on the left pedal but I could not get the left pedal to feel the same as the right in terms of tension and feel. It made it difficult to play steady double bass. The build quality is good. Since then I have got a Griffen double pedal and it feels a lot better, both pedals feels the same and smooth.

it literally is falling apart after 30 minutes.and on top of that it feels terrible. the pedals move side to side. there is not a single redeeming quality. if you are wanting a double kick pedal save up and get a better one than this
