Compass only works on non-steel handlebars and not near steel cables, like brakes or shifters.
Lost one star for not being more clear about what handlebar materials will affect the compass. The description says that some handlebar materials may "slightly" affect the compass readings. Of course all compasses are inaccurate near ferrous materials such as steel or iron. It's fine near aluminum or carbon fiber. My compass was locked on one position when attached to the handlebars even though my handlebars are aluminum. I discovered the brake cable, which is mounted under the handlebar, was causing the problem as it's made of steel. It was a good inch away but still affected the compass. I can't really work around it, so I will have to pull the compass off to read it. Nothing the company can really do except explain this better. It's physics. The temperature gage has very poor resolution and tiny letters that are hard to read. I don't know how accurate it is as I haven't calibrated it.

This could do more harm than good if you get lost
It’s too bad that it doesn’t work. Clips on nicely and looks cool. But the vibrations from the road throws off calibration almost immediately and won’t work after a day. I live in Chicago, a very simple-to-navigate city. Lake Michigan to the east makes it super easy not to mention every street has a N S E or W connotation so when there’s no doubt I’m heading north to Evanston and it says I’m going south and west - you know it’s no good. Additionally, if you’re using it on your motorcycle like I am, the thermostat represents the heat from the motor - not the the air temperature (it’s 62 degrees F right now and it’s reading 90). Just don’t buy this.

Where are you headed?
This is used on bicycle handlebars. It fit well but as stated for the product information the compass does not work on steel handlebars. The temperature is a little difficult to read and very much affected by direct sunlight.

Great product! Awesome company!
Works great! Use it on my bicycle. Compass, just like any compass, needs to be level. Thermometer, just like most thermometers, if not sitting in direct sunlight is very accurate. Happy with purchase and would definitely recommend. Fast shipping and great service!

No good for motorcycles
Temp gauge regularly reads around 10-15 degrees higher than ambient, and compass spins wildly if you go any faster than maybe 5-10 mph. I'm guessing that's due to vibration from the motorcycle. It came with a rubber insert (I assume for vibration) but it barely fits WITHOUT the rubber insert on my handlebars
