Meaty addition to the game - worth it if you have the small boxes
I ordered this from Eastern Europe, so I wasn't surprised it came in a little banged up.The contents are entirely as expected, an the game is well worth it. Just be careful with your expectations if you're ordering from overseas - although Amazon packaging is at the very least decent, there's no guarantee for handling across all this way.

Fun game!
We bought the original (first) version of it from our local cards and comics store and got addicted. This expansion is super fun! Highly recommend!

Campaign mode
The campaign mode introduced in this expansion was so exciting for my small group. The new character tasks are interesting and a nice buff to have when fighting against the forces of the great old ones! The new Old Gods introduced in this expansion were terrifying and we had a few close calls to the new corruption effect cards! The Cult based Old God is my most favorite we have ever played. The introduction and progressing story got us so immersed in the story and role play part of the game. Definitely worth a buy if you have a few prior expansions!

Lackluster Campaign Mode
Great big box expansion for Eldritch Horror. However, one star must be deducted for the sub-par campaign mode. All you do is set up a sequence of 6 games with a random ancient one for each. You play with 2 prelude cards per game (one for the current ancient one, and one for the next, except when you get to the final game where you need to use a specific prelude card). Your investigators carry over into the next game naturally, etc etc. And it's not like you'll even win the campaign. Chances of you losing one game in that series is 99.9%. I have not won a game since I bought Eldritch Horror last year. Out of 30 or so games I've played using 4 investigators per game, I haven't won a single game. Therefore, I don't see how exciting this campaign is. It doesn't break new ground or introduce anything fresh. For that matter, the campaign mode should have been introduced way before this expansion, at least 2 expansions ago. I can't possibly see anybody giving this expansion a perfect score due to the campaign mode. But other than that, it's a decent expansion.

Great expansion
Bough this as a gift for my brother. Very fun, though complicated, board game. I could never play it without his help, but I enjoyed testing out this expansion with him. Make sure you have a couple of hours free if you decide to play Eldritch Horror! It takes awhile!

I love this game
Its Eldritch Horror. I love this game! You cannot go wrong with an Eldritch Horror games or expansions. This expansion wasn't the largest, but it defiantly added a lot to the game. I would recommend picking this up to a true Eldritch Horror board game fan. Love it!

This expansion would be great as a second expansion after forsaken lore for some one because it adds a focus mechanic that allows rerolls and it has resources that allows extra healing. It is also great for people with any expansion because it contains story cards for all the investigators.
