Great boom for the buck!
Perfect addition to my 09 Civic. Easy to install and wire up to my aftermarket head unit. Enough bass to rattle the rear deck, but can be turned down if too much.

Cant beat the price for the quality and sound.
This thing kicks a$$. My installer recommended it for my 1994 Landcruiser and its outstanding.

Update: all good now.
Update: all good now, it was an intermittent issue with the fusible link. The installer I used didn't catch it. I finally swapped the fuse and redid All the wiring myself and isolated it to, so shame on me I should have done that to begin with and not trusted the shop I paid. That being said, the fuse wasn't blown, but it must have been weak and causing a high resistance open, I swapped it for a brand new 20 amp bus fuse and all the problems went away. I apologize to pioneer for my previous complaint.OLD POST: I don't drive this vehicle very often because I have a company vehicle. But I would jam it a lot when I did drive and it was great for 8 months.. I had bought the Asurion warranty through Amazon, but so everybody knows that doesn't kick in until the manufacturer warranty runs out after a year. Good luck dealing with Pioneer on this repair issue. Woofer starts making a squelching sound and then cuts off and there's a pulse heartbeat sound. Turn the car completely off or unplug the harness and everything's fine it's totally silent until you turn the radio on again and put a little base to it it'll work for about 10 seconds and then the same symptom repeats. I'm not going to even bother trying to go to the manufacturer warranty any longer. And I doubt I'll be buying Asurion extended ever again. The sound and thump was great, while it lasted. I put it in a BMW I3 with the Harman Kardon system, just added this for more low end.

Great little unit, but NOT 350 watts RMS
First, the cons:- I know this may seem needlessly picky to some, but when I'm expecting a 350 watt RMS unit and open it to see a 20 amp fuse and 16 gauge power wires, I become concerned that I've just thrown away money and something is probably going to melt. This forces me (and I imagine anyone else with even a basic understanding of electricity) to investigate... fortunately I found according to Pioneer's own specifications this unit consumes a maximum of 13 amps at 14.4 volts. That's a theoretical maximum of 187.2 watts. Of course there will be heat losses and the RMS will be even lower, so really we're probably talking 100-120 watts of real RMS power at the speaker. Translation: Nothing's going to melt because the marketing team at Pioneer is exaggerating the power of this unit by 3x. *sigh* Wouldn't it be great if manufacturers could realize we're not idiots and simply telling the truth would do wonders to promote trust in their brand?- A small thing, but they could have included a few wire nuts or even a few barrel crimp connectors to help with the installation. I luckily had some but for a few cents they'd save some people a trip to the hardware store.- Not really a 'con', but worth mentioning: This unit doesn't come with the stuff you'll need to power the amp or get the signals to it. If you don't already have it, be sure to also order a well-reviewed 10 gauge amp wiring kit (Note: 10 gauge is MORE than large enough - you could get away with 16 gauge if they made them)The pros:- Box is solidly built. Carpet is clean-looking and well-adhered. It weighs 23 pounds - so not too heavy to move but stays put nicely. The trapezoidal shape keeps it from tipping if you don't want to bolt it down.- Speaker is nicely mounted and the grill seems tough enough to stand up to groceries and other random stuff rolling around in my trunk (2003 Honda Civic 2dr)- Very nice that it comes with heavy-duty mounting brackets. I chose not to use them because I want to be able to move it for now, but I'm definitely saving them.- Input/control panel is well made and appointed with all the adjustments I could need (including a phase reverse switch - a nice touch)- The remote control knob is great for adjusting the level of bass output. I didn't think I'd use it but I adjust it all the time - so much nicer than messing with level menus on the head unit or pulling over and popping the trunk if I want to switch genres!- Very nice sound quality - consistent with what I expected from the 'old' Pioneer brand. Of course it helps to have a good head unit, but properly set up it's very pleasing. Even though it's a sealed box it has plenty of punch. A nice wide range (I'd guess about 35 Hz to 140 Hz) with a rich sound throughout. There is a dropoff below 30 Hz, but if you're worried about being that low you're probably not even looking at this unit anyway.- I like that it's quite small. I know it's not ideal for producing huge sound but the engineers did a really nice job of getting totally adequate sound out of such a small enclosure. As a dad, I actually need free trunk space so I'm very happy with the compromise.- It's pretty darn loud. EVEN THOUGH it's only 120 watts, it's plenty. No, you're not going to win any competitions or impress the bass-heads, but for inside the car, it's enough to make the average person uncomfortable. Your mirrors will easily shake and you'll hear some rattling outside the car if you really crank it up, but it probably won't turn (many) heads. In summary, for the price (I paid $125), I don't think it can be beat. It's a very well matched set of components - and a fantastic supplement to a stock system that will add tremendous depth to your listening experience no matter what kind of music you enjoy. It's plenty to impress any 'casual' passenger... Upon hearing it my friend's first words were, "Woah... this is amazing! Can you do this to my car?" My only gripe is the false marketing and the stress it caused me, so minus one star for that. Otherwise, I'm super happy and would definitely recommend.

Speaker coil aluminum not copper
Product came defective. Opened up the box and found disconnected speaker wires. Speaker coil is NOT copper, falsely noted by Pioneer as copper.
