Great introduction to reading.

childhood favourites
I love this series of books as its excellent for my younger boys... superb for learning to sequence a story and 'read' the picture - suitable for my 3yr old who loves books and can 'read' the story to himself without help and also great to encourage my 5yr olds imagination and story skills... Lovely to make the boys think about what they see and think about the characters and how they are feeling by using visual clues - lve it

Classic
Bought for school use with PSHE topic in Key Stage 1. Is text-less but this allows adult to ask children questions, which they then give honest well-thought-out answers to without any text to lead them.

Classic favourite
You need a bit of imagination to use this story with foreign students. Lots of repetition and expression in the storytelling.

No story
The illustrations are beautiful but there is no text. I'm currently pregnant and bought this as my babies first book as it was a favourite of mine as a child. I'm so disappointed that it's only pictures and no story. It doesn't mention in the description that the story is not told via text.

Very basic
Whilst I didn't expect a lot of language in this, I'd have at least the odd word on a page or a pull out of story for the adult to support the child.
