Consistent Grind
I bought the fellow Opus for filter coffee (mainly v60) with half a mind that I may get an expresso machine in the future. As far as grinding for filter coffee, once I found the best grind sizes results were good. I was able to get great flavour and sweetness from light roasts and all the classic chocolate flavours from darker roasts. The only down side for me is the retention. If you forget to really give it a good rap on the top and/or use the lid as a pair of bellows then the opus will retain over a gram of coffee at a time and inevitably release it when the catch cup is elsewhere. That said, I am happy with most other aspects, like the design, the grind quality, the lack of excessive noise, the powerful motor and the price!

Good value provided you don't mind the fiddly adjutsment mechanism
Good value entry level grinder.I'm just getting in to espresso so wanted a grinder that would see me throught he first part of this journey, reviews for the Opus seemed pretty good with a few caveats so I took the plunge. The grinder makes good coffee but dialling in the grind can be a pain thanks to the hidden inner ring for fine adjustments. If you can make your peace with a little bit of a faff when dialling in then this is a very good value proposition. In use, it's easy work with, grinds quickly and doesn't make any horrible noises. It's a compact footprint too so will fit nicely on most countertops.

Great Design.
For the money it makes very nicely uniform ground coffee. Works brilliantly for espresso.

Static!!!
Grinds the coffee, but you have to fight with it to get all the grinds out. Plastic makes it too static! If you’re a coffee fanatic, then spend the money on a metal one.

Disappointed with Performance and Quality for the Price
I really wanted to love this grinder, but after multiple issues and an ongoing dialogue with customer support, I am left disappointed. Initially, the grind retention was inconsistent, so Fellow kindly sent me a replacement grinder. Unfortunately, the replacement was even worse, retaining 1-2 grams of coffee per grind. The "bellows" feature, which should help loosen retained grounds, was ineffective. The only way to free the excess coffee was by disassembling the outer burr and brushing it out—wasting coffee in the process. On top of that, the grinding consistency for espresso is not up to standard. I have to set the grind at a 3 (well above the recommended 1-2 setting) to avoid choking my Gaggia Classic Evo Pro, which is practically new. For a grinder at this price point (£195), this is simply unacceptable.Customer service has been responsive and helpful, which I appreciate, but the product itself doesn’t meet expectations for its price range. I’m now seeking a full refund under warranty and wouldn’t recommend this grinder for espresso users.

Versatile and good looking
Easy to use, nice looking in the kitchen. Coffee grinds beautifully and clean. The reason of 4 stars is because there are remaining bits of bins in the grinder after finishing. Cleaning the machine is a bit complicated. And is a bit pricey too.But overall is excellent.

Near perfect for filter coffee, only let down by it's coffee retention.
EDIT: I initially rated this 5 stars just under a year ago. If the grinder performed the same way it did at that time, it would remain 5 stars. If it performed how it did a few months ago, I'd drop it to 3. Now that the grinder is practically broken in less than a year, I can't give it any higher than 2.To start with, this grinder was a stellar cost to performance buy. Fast, quiet, and cheap. After a few months though, the cracks show. It slows down a fair bit. Where 22g of coffee could be ground in less than 30 seconds before, it takes near double that. The anti static tech never works as well as it does in the first month, and requires constant cleaning to get it working at an okay rate. In that vein, there are small annoyances. Actually cleaning that anti static thing is hard because most brushed don't fit between the bottom of the grinder and the base. The hardwired connection makes cleaning the whole unit a pain too.Ultimately though, in less than a year, the thing is busted. Today it just fails to grind coffee past the first gram. It completely clogs up and I have no idea why.

Very well built and effective grinder
Excellent machine. Grinds the beans really well and the collecting cup is magnetised so positions itself perfectly. Strongly recommend.
