Not used as a wheel, I bought it strictly for the material.I use it to dress sintered diamond hole saws. I basically run the bit into the material two or three times for a few seconds each time.Dressing sticks for sintered diamond tools are the exact same material, but a lot more expensive.I can get the sharpening capability of at least two sticks with one wheel, which is cheaper, and it also has the advantage of being able to get multiple grits. Almost all sintered dressing blocks are eighty grit only.

I'm using this mounted on my lathe when I need to sharpen my wood lathe tools. I run the lathe at 200-300 rpm and use a tool rest to guide the chisel. Works so much better than when using it on a standard bench grinder at much higher rpm. I sharpen all my chisels at once, then take this wheel off and mount my project on the lathe.

Initially installed on a 3500 rpm grinder, have since purchased a 1700 rpm grinder to install wheel on. The high speed 3500 rpm ate the metal pretty fast if you didn’t watch what you were doing. The 1700 rpm grinder is easier to control metal removal and setup for final grinding on the CBN wheel (also purchased on Amazon). No vibration, slight wobble but not enough to cause vibration, 5/8 arbor fit good.

This is a finer wheel so perfect for blade sharpening. Has lasted very well and is balanced.

Very good stone dresser for the bench grinder. Would buy again.

I had one of these previously, but couldn't locate it. I needed to dress a grinding wheel to remove a deep gouge, and this wheel dresser did a really good job. I couldn't detect any wear, so it should be good for at least several more wheel dressings.
