I urgently needed a male to male S-Video cable in order to transfer video from my old Hi8 camcorder. I chose this as it was inexpensive and it works perfectly. I am happy to recommend it.

We all know that you can connect two DVD recorders to the two AV channels on your television set. However, there are times when it would be useful to have a third option just to watch films and this is where the AV3 channel comes into its own or does it? After all, it isn't scart, just three cables like the ones I bought here.Although red and white are easy to identify to connect, you do have to play around with the yellow one as that one isn't always in the right colour. It came as rather a surprise that it actually worked except its in black and white. ^This is why you need to buy an S-video cable at the same time. Check the pin count and suitable length between TV and recorder and plug that in as well and you have colour as well. I found connecting this cable into the TV a little awkward but watch where the plastic plug inserts and it should be relatively easy.

I am using this to digitise VHS tape using Pinnacle Studeo Dazzle DC 100 capture device.
