The shaft was bent
Good hammer but made difficult to use because of bent shaft

16oz is way too light.
Good hammer but the 16 oz feels more like a 12oz. Banging 65 mm polytops was a task. Nice hammer but for roofing/first fix defo need the 20oz.

Flawed
Normally a fan of dewalt kit, this is not their usual standard. The face is too domed, and the chamfer around it too deep. In confined spaces e.g. fitting joist hangers, if the nail starts to lean to the joist you cannot recover- the face dome just makes it worse. It belongs to my son- if it was mine I would have to re-grind the face. What is the point of putting all the mass as high as possible if the dome does not let you use the top of the face?

Not a good hammer for professional use
I’m a joiner and carpenter. I recently lost my estwing so picked one of these up from B&Q.Total waste of money, uncomfortable, shock absorbency is dreadful, badly designed face, the list goes on.Works like a £5 hammer.Just buy an estwing.
