Large, awkward and funky, love it !!!
Odd shape and materials choice make this a kinda one off knife. Blade shows true Damascus, operation and finish are flawless, razor sharp out of the box.Handle ergonomics are not too great, square & flat, but it adds to the design of the unit, would definitely recommend if you want something different....

Awesome edc
This is one of the larger folders in my collection, but still small enough to carry all the time. Civivi is becoming one of my favorite budget friendly knives. For the price, these knives are great, I haven't had one single issue with them. The only thing I had an issue with initially was that the etching of the pattern isn't as dark as the photos lead you to believe. The photos make the blade look satin /dark gray, but it's a high polish. But I can't really fault them for that because it still looks awesome. The deployment is smooth, the lock up is tight, and the pocket clip keeps it down low. I did purchase the titanium upgrade from civivi, so that's why the pics show a purple 'lightning' patten and not the plain gray that comes on it. It's about twice the size of the elementum. It's comparable in size to a kershaw knockout, but lighter thanks to the ultem scales (which look very nice). The blade feels huge, but it slices very neatly because it's not crazy thick. If you like larger folding knives, this is perfect.

Good knife but not my preference
I purchased 2 of these- one for my father and one for me. Damascus blade w/ Ultem handle. I'm giving 5 stars even though I am returning them because the knives are good if you like them and I do not believe in giving low ratings for an opinion. I will give my impressions. It's the largest pocket knife I've purchased which was a bit intimidating for me. People aren't wrong when they say Ultem is light. While the knife feels balanced, given the size, it feels too light in the handle where it could be a little unsafe without some heft. The damascus felt a little misleading because, in the product listing, the blade looks like it is a satin finish however, in person, the metal is shiny and the damascus pattern looks like an acid etch, though I don't know enough about damascus to know. It looks like some people darken their blades with sanding and chemical stains though I would rather not risk damaging the knife on experiments. The last thing is that all of my knives have a grain to the metal. Maybe it's a difference in manufacturing process but this thing looks like they take a sheet of metal and cut it to shape- more like a gas station knife than a forged knife. I dunno. It just isn't my taste. That being said, it is a great knife. If I looked at it in a store, I probably would've simply not purchased it because it was not to my tastes.

CIVIVI NOW VS. 3 YEARS AGO
The media could not be loaded. I've owned the keen Nader for years and abused it thoroughly. So that's kind of my standard for civivi. This knife is very similar in size an weight even though the blade itself is much bigger. It has a great design and feel. The blade steel is 14c28n vs the n690 from my previous civivi. The micarta grip is much rougher on the bulltusk and the micarta insert at the bottom of the handle is not there on this model. The ambidextrous mounting points for the clip are recessed on the new model leaving an ugly indent on the side where the clip is not mounted. The build quality is good as before but I fear that civivi may be starting to cut corners on cost of production. Which i really hope is not the case. Overall $65 is not a bad price if this knife holds up as well as my old one. Although these are manufactured in China, they are definitely far more durable than any gas station knife, and better than many of the big name brand knife makers. I would take one over a Gerber or crkt any day

Great knife
I love this knife. I have a good amount of other branded knives and came across this one and just really like the shape in the photo. So I ordered one and right out of the box it became my go to. I found that the stock clip created a hot spot on my hand so I ordered a titanium clip from civivi and it made the knife 100%. Edge retention is good. Balance is amazing for size. And handle is so comfortable. My only gripe is the edge angle. Makes a sharp edge at the angle but I prefer a 40 inclusive. Have purchased two other knives from civivi after this purchase. Love their knives

Instantly my favorite Civivi
Got this yesterday and it instantly became my favorite Civivi knife. Everything about it is perfect. The looks, the strength, the quality, the handle, the BEAUTIFUL blade, the snap it makes when it opens... It's all simply perfect. And if you're worried about the purple being "too purple", don't worry, it's just the right tone. Dark and masculine.
