Q: Will these work on (2) 1' x 6'8" doors to swing both ways? This is for access from my closet to my laundry room to roll my laundry sorter through

I installed them on two cafe doors and it works great.

Q: How much to deduct from the opening size to the door size for hinge clearance?

You will need a 1 inch clearance and our cafe door are premade for finished opening widths. So, if your finished opening measures 36"W, then you would order a 36" sized door which will actually measure 35" wide across the width of both doors.

Q: Can these hinges be used for a pivot door and only have it open one way, not swing back and forth?

No, the hinges don’t have a stop bar so they free swing both ways
